Root [ROM][YACR] CM 7.1-Reppard

Dont know if this is a known issue but on my reppards build of CM7 if I change the theme in theme chooser it reverts back to system on reboot. Any way to fix? Sorry if this has been answered but i havent been able to find it. thanks

I don't know why it would be doing that, because my version of Reppards CM7 worked perfect right from the start. I changed my theme to the Android using theme chooser and it stays just fine.

Might want to wipe and reflash and see if that solves the issue, maybe you
have an earlier build?

If you haven't flashed DTA2SD script then your theme is on your SD card. Much like a widget upon reboot the system will revert when they are on SD. You can either manually move them to phone or flash the script and not worry about it.

Something that might help you guys out with the mms problem, mines works perfect even with 0 bars, dont know if yours is like mines.

I would get the notification ringtone, said I had a new mms and when I go check... nothing..
At first my friend sent me a picture we took and it didnt show up, later that day I scroll up to find out that the picture came in with not the time it is sent, but the time the picture was taken. And I have verified it a couple of times already, my phone works like this, dont know why.

To fix GPS: After downloading Google Maps from the android market simply go to manage apps, clear the data for maps, and reboot.

You'll need two apps for voice: Speech Synthesis and Data, Voice Search (by google inc.) Also make sure that when downloading SSD to get the right language...lol. Unless of course you don't mind getting directions in German or Spanish.

Hello. I have to say, I was running the original CM 7.1 ROM with the R.O.C.K. kernel and the MetroOFF fix (OG like a mofo =)) and I LOVE this ROM, its everything I want in a ROM, OC, A2SD support, CM build. This is easily the best ROM/kernel for the Optimus M around. The only thing I would ask for in the next iteration (and which I think would make this ROM perfect) would be ROM and kernel support for a swap file. One of the biggest problems with this phone (other than no native flash support, slightly too low processor speed, and lack of HD and 3D graphics capability, but hey, this is a lower class android so we cant expect much) is lack of RAM. Honestly, 512 just doesnt really cut it these days, I have done EVERYTHING possible to minimize RAM usage, run the lightest system apps possible, and have everything possible auto killed (besides persistant apps of course), and I still cant keep more than 240 megs free when at idle. run a few apps at the same time, and that number can drop very quickly. With a swap enabled kernel and ROM, alot of the more unused apps can stay in the swap file instead of sticking around in the memory. And with a class 10 card (like I have =)) speeds would be fast enough where you probably not notice a difference. Again, LOVE the ROM, and would love to see more development in the future. Just some thoughts on what would make a great ROM even better.

You also can do some tweaks to your build prop to free up some ram. look here

I'd also like to add that task killers are cancer for androids. They actually hurt the phone as android is the opposite of windows. Full ram means higher app performance. Killing apps slows down internal process as they have to restart. Also habitual or automatic task killing can damage data when using A2SD and it far worse with swap. It can lead to force close city and eventually the need to reflash.

Also: Ignore quadrant scores as they are like lotto tickets. You may think you've won big but you'll always lose. They're for entertainment only and in no way actually reflect the performance of your phone
