Root AMON-RA recovery help

Not sure why I can't find these instructions, but how do you scroll up and down in recovery? I must have used it to flash Velocity 1.1 and Frunisher, but when trying to flash Velocity 1.2 now I am stuck at the recovery screen. Nothing happens when I press the volume buttons. When I press them simultaneously the phone just reboots?

I have searched all morning. No one mentions exactly how to get the volume up and down buttons to work, simply to scroll up and down in recovery. I'm sure instructions are out there somewhere, just having one heck of a time finding them.

So I went ahead against all advice and flashed Clockword Mod Recovery and used it to flash. So far so good but the fact that I could not figure out.....just how to scroll up and down is driving me nuts!

Well, for one, go back to Amon RA. For two, you don't use volume up and down. You use the arrow keys around the ok button for up and down, volume down for back, and the enter key, not the okay key, for enter.

Flashed alternative recovery immediately after flashing - back on Amon-RA.

Dang-it! It's been so long since I flashed anything on this phone completely forgot it had a keyboard .

Thanks for keeping me from going completely insane. I've been distracted since lunch!
