Need help with email problems

I've downloaded my LIVE.COM account to my Galaxy Note but i can't get into any of my folders. It just gives me the ones that have been sent to me but i cannot see where i can open the folders where i divide them up into catagories. Second problem that i have is that i cannot have the open email page on one of my home screens. It locks the page and i can't scoll to the other home screens till i close it. I know it must be possible due to seeing it on youtube but it didn't show me how. It's running gingerbread so i assume it is the same as the GS2

You are one of the few lucky ones to get your hands on a Galaxy NOte (tablet/phone). I still hve my Dell Streak and am looking to upgrade to a Note when my Streak finally 'take that last call and cross over SIM-Jordan'. This will be imformative to read initial tweaking and finetuning from first-owners so to know what I might expect when i get mine.

Have you tried an app called Enhanced Email and set up your live account via Enhanced Email? it will allow you to view all your folders and either sync delete selected emails after reading, etc...

I haven't tried any others but the one i have got looks like the one in youtube demo and it seemed to be on one of the home screens. This was on one of the demos they had in germany when it was first shown to the media, so one would assume it was the standard email you get with the phone. It looked real good when he thumbed the home screen to the right and out crept an open email page. It must be possible. I would of thought the GS2's would be the same as they are running the same system

Sounds very nice. What's the youtube link? I'd like to check it out too. I am sure there is a workaround or a way to get the feature you are referring to , to work.

When i had some live.com - direct access issues on my streak, i did have to resort to using "Enhanced Email" and set up several accounts. Live.com, att.net, gmail and a yahoo account... All got a color coded folder notification (shaped like an envelop that appears at the top of my notification bar when new mail arrives, etc).

When you open you tube, type in Samsung Galaxy Note and look for ones that were tested by places like ENGADGET, CNET, ETC

Great, will do! Yup, the Galaxy Note is definitely my successor to the Dell Streak! Meantime, if you cant get the live.com option to work, give Enhanced Email a try. You can set up various accounts with their individual server settings and view alk folders as well as delere from server ootionwhen you delete an email on your Note!
