Time for some BF3 to rid myself of the frustration of Verizon continuing to launch phones like a monkey is their marketing/branding adviser.

I would think that Google would be the authority on the subject, but who knows anymore?

I'm just trying to ride this out and not get overly riled up about anything, because there will be more rumors tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that, etc.

The only image I saw of a 32Gb version had the LTE branding on the back FWIW

I would have to disagree with TIME on this. Unless your friends happen to have a picture of your face and unlock your phone when you're not paying attention to it, it's very quick (better, more unique security than a pattern unlock in less time it takes to enter a pattern or passcode). Sure it's a novelty thing but I think with some refining this technology could become more mainstream and seriously useful. For the average person's scenario, Face Unlock is great and perfect for everyday use (I know I'll use it!)

I just got off the phone with someone who works a little higher up on the totem pole than I do. S/he said that the release date is now more "flexible" than it was because of issues coming up during testing.

S/he's a good friend, and throughout the conversation I got the impression that the "testing issues" was the company line, and that the real reason has more to do with corporate strategy than anything else.

I don't know what else to say. I wish I had better news. Next week is definitely not out of the question. But it is very "subject to change" right now.

You mean like how you keep sprouting off that Verizon's return policy is different then stated on their own web site and in stores? And argue to no end about that also?

Whoa whoa whoa settle down folks... everyone take a deep breath. Who the hell needs more than 4-8gb anyway? Everything is going to the cloud... documents, music, video. You really don't need it. It's the new Google paradigm. If you max out 16gb you aren't using your Nexus as prescribed.

Well the problem with that is data caps. If you have a bunch of music you listen to on your phone, it makes no sense to stream it, using all your data for something that could be local. 16 Gigs is a fair amount, but if you don't want to have to pick and choose what music from your library you want and have to keep interchanging it all the time, then 16Gb is not a whole lot to be honest. If Verizon brings back the unlimited data option however, then hell, I probably wouldn't need more than 4 gigs either! Alas, that is not the case, and those of us who have lost the unlimited plan would rather not waste the data on things that shouldn't have to eat into the data cap

It's because the marketing approach isn't one of "household name", but rather "buzz among the diehards". iPhone is a household name but you don't find that much intense speculation like you do on the Galaxy Nexus and this thread of us diehards

I'm never leaving Verizon, I got grandfathered into unlimited and as far as I can tell no other carrier has any plans to ever bring it back...

I'd be wiling to be someone who updated the Google GNex page just misunderstood and removed the wrong thing.

All Verizon devices so far have been 32Gb. Not worried about it.
