Question.

Will this phone ship with a locked bootloader or unlocked.

Secondly, if it is locked, will it easily be unlocked?

I want an experience like with my Droid 1. Flash a new Rom every day or every so often lol. And if something goes wrong - no big deal. No SBF needed, booting into recovery is as simple as holding a button while powering on.

If this phone has a locked bootloader that cannot be unlocked, like the Droid X2, etc, then I don't even want it. I want something that is a 100% Developer friendly phone. I know samsung likes this, I know google does not care either way, but I do know that verizon likes locked bootloaders.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Yep, just saw last night that Moto is pushing-out an OTA update for the Bionic that pretty-much all it does is close the rooting loopholes. The other Moto devices can't be far behind...:(

WTF!?! I seriously don't get the motiviation there. What does M have to gain by making their devices less friendly to the "opinion-makers" (us)?

My D1 is a dream device...they have fallen so far... :(
