urgent help please reply

hi i have just had my hero/g2 back from tmobile uk after the earpiece broke they have fixed it and done a software upgrade.but i have lost everything and i mean everything.used my backup pro to back everything up and now says my trial has run out and when i try to buy the pro version it cant find it on the market.how do i get all my paid apps back?how do i get all my free apps back i cant remember them all?please please help, thank you(i have tried my downloads and nothing is there)

Yeah, your paid apps should show in the market, download section, as long as you use the same google add as before. I am afraid you will have to remember your free apps. If you use something like 'Astro file manager' free from the market you can back up your apps now and then so when things like this happen you will have a list, thats what I do. You will have to reintsall them but at least you will know what you had. Best to reinstall from the market though so you will get updates or use 'atrackdog' which will fetch your upgates for you then give you a choice where you would like to update them from.

Hi:

Google has designed their OS so you can't backup any apps--don't bother trying. Even if you use software to backup your apps and restore them, they won't show up in the market and you can't update them.

Sprite backup will backup your contacts, sms, wallpaper, ringtones etc. If you use Dolphin browser, you can sync your bookmarks to Google.

Your paid apps should show up in the market place, if not email the software developers and they should be able to take care of you.

App Dragon will email you a list of your installed apps. Take detailed notes about your setup and be prepared to spend lots of time each and every time you have to update.

Don't bother trying to communicate with Google--can't be done.

What are you talking about? Apps that you purchase are linked to your google account and SHOULD show up as purchased after a wipe of the device once logged back in with the same email address. Not sure why this isn't the case for the OP. Furthermore there are applications that will back up the apk for apps, although some of the paid apps show as private for me using astro. A restored app shows up again in the downloads section on the market for me and I receive updates the same as if it came from the market in the beginning. Where do you think all the wareZ come from? Its too easy to share apks...

Hi:

Some paid apps show up in the market and some don't. All free apps don't show up and all restored apps won't show up in the market and have to be reinstalled in order to be updated. Try it if you don't believe me.

Tom
It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that my experience is not consistent with yours. I have tried it, multiple times. The apps I restore after having backed up with Astro all show up under MyDownloads in the market once I restore them, and I get updates just as if I had installed them from the market.

My paid apps show up as purchased and I just have to reinstall them again.

What you say about the restored apps makes sense, especially the free ones, since the market forgets that you have installed them anyway. I just know that apps that I have restored show up in the market for me and I get notification updates.
