Help How to customize the Shortcut panel?

Is there any way I can delete or add to the shortcut items shown in the Shortcuts Panel at the bottom of my Galaxy Tab 10.1? At the moment, by default, it displays:Task manager, Calendar, World clock, Pen memo, Calculator, Music player. Severaql of these I never use and I would like to replace them with something more useful.

Thanks for the answer, Szadzik, even if it wasn't the one I was hoping for! Who, I wonder, wants frequent and immediate access to World Clock, Pen Memo and Calculator? The ability to get quick access your browser or your e-mail would (for me at least) be far more useful.

It does nothing, just opens the small dock with non-customizable shortcuts.

It's only "customisable" to the extent that you can set your own city selections in the World Clock. I think the main reason Samsung added this was to showcase multitasking that didn't require taking over the screen. Those mini-apps stay in the foreground, overlaid on whatever else is running (ala, MS Windows).

As others have noted, it's not customizable. I would like to see Samsung release an update that offers the option to disable the Task Bar and Screenshot buttons. I have no use for them at all, and they get in the way. I don't hit the Screenshot by accident anymore but I did when the Tab was new. The Task Bar does get hit by accident sometimes when I'm scrolling or tapping near the bottom of the screen. It's very annoying and I don't use any of the apps in the Task Bar except Music which I already have an icon on the screen for it anyway.

It's a neat idea, but it's not part of vanilla Android, it's not needed for me, and should be optional. It's one of the very few things that bothers me about the Tab. The other is the overly sensitive Power and Volume buttons - they should be a little more resistant to contact. A regular USB charging port is the only other thing. Other than those issues, I'm happy with the Tab.

I totally agree with your comments, bfksc. To your desiderata I would add a slot for a memory card. But the best thing about the Galaxy Tab is that it is not Apple and doesn't need that ghastly iTunes!

Oh right! I forgot about that one...I hate iTunes as well. It's a big bloated piece of poop that makes it a pain in the butt to work with outside the Apple mindset.

As for a memory card slot, I bought the ASUS Transformer because I thought I wanted all those ports. Turns out I didn't really need/use any of those ports, I didn't really need the keyboard, and it was bulky. Then Rogers came out with the 3G model Tab and a data share plan that was cost effective. So I jumped on that option and I'm much happier with the Tab.
