Newegg Extended Battery

The extended battery is huge and turns your phone into a brick. The battery is twice as thick as the original. I plan to use the extended battery for when I'm going out or something but not when going to work or at home since I can just keep it charged.

I'm not sure on like actual battery life tho since I just got it today. I exchanged from the galaxy nexus.

Anyone bought an extended battery from Newegg yet? Unfortunately there are no reviews yet so I don't want to go and just blindly buy one.

Its the same OEM battery they sell at Verizon and is distributed by HTC. At Verizon you can still pick one up for 30.00 though via the 4g battery sale (50% off)

I use the extended battery and I get excellent battery life. 2-3 days off the charger. I actually purchased 3, but I only really use 2 of them to switch out to avoid leaving my phone on a charger. I haven't plugged in my phone to charge since I acquired these batteries and the standalone thunderbolt battery charger.

Currently there are 3 cases on the market for the external battery. One I wont even mention since its a horrible hack job.

Kick stand holster case LINK

I prefer the TPU case since I like the fit, feel, and the front protection it gives. The holster only provides front protection when in the holster which I don't use.
Plus the TPU case is less bulky.

If you need a standalone battery charger, you can pick one up for 5.00 at Verizon. Just buy the Thunderbolt model. It is compatible with the rezound batteries.

Great info, thanks! Is Verizon battery online or do I have to call them?

I got one for my extra Thunderbolt extended battery just before I got my Rezound. If they still have them at the store for $5.00 I suggest you grab 1-2 extra's because you can't find that charger on the Verizon website any more and the stand alone charger shown on the Verizon site is now about $30.00. At a store online, I found the same one I paid $5.00 for priced at $15.00.

I wish I'd bought a couple of extras before Verizon realized they weren't making their usual insane profit on them.

It certainly takes a thicker than average phone and makes it thicker still, but the way it's recessed around all four sides makes it easy and comfortable to hold. Dainty it's not, but it sure does the job with another 70% juice!

Call your local store and make sure they have part number HTC6425BATX in stock. They've had the 50% off running the last few months, and I don't know if it's over already. The battery is priced at $50 or $60 depending on where you go, so convince them to sell it to you at $50 with half off. :)
