Get CDMA workshop. I cant tell you where to get it.
Get your MSL/SPC code.
Using your dialer dial *983*87274#
Choose "only Diag"
When your computer installs drivers make not of what com port it installed to.
Open CDMA workshop.
Choose port and select connect. Then choose read to make sure.

Go to security tab and where it says SPC input your MSL code then press the SPC button. Then choose send. If it is correct it will tell you.

Now go to "Other" tab and where it says PRL click write. Find your prl file and choose it.

Exit CDMA workshop and reboot your phone.
Once rebooted open dialer again and enter *983*87274# and this time choose "AT" If you dont usb will not work properly.

UPDATE
I just want to say this is the best forum ever...I am cheking ti everyday for new stuff so glad I joined.

But after this post I rooted my warp and I used CDMA workshop to change to the 60683 PRL but I did it last friday after work so I cant tell if my signal has improved where it was sucky at work but in general it has and I noticed that my battery is lasting longer as well...when I get back to work next week will be the real test but so far so good now I just need to try updating my 3g speed...guess I'll makes those changes before the week is out but actually with just changing the prl everything seems faster on the phone...I LOVE IT!

Maybe a little stupid question here, where can I download this workshop? thanks very much!!
I actually bought it a few years back and lost the key file and then they were crappy to me about getting a new key file so I use a cracked version now. I cant tell you where to get it though.

Freaking amazing. I would surely try this because my signal sucks at my house lol
Mine sucks at work.

Im going to work in a couple of hours and will update whether or not this makes a difference.

Thanks Woodstock, I did get it switched with your instructions (fyi, the demo version of cdma ws works, I just renamed the prl you posted to the demo prl file name they had in the prl folder and it took that.

I ran some some speedtests at work and 3g is as fast as if not a little better than normal. I have four bars, which is about normal for work.

the real test will be at home because I live in the boonies and usually don't have very good connection.

So far so good though, I have to think it's going to be better coverage being on a sprint prl.

The signal at my house has greatly improved! At first I was at 0-3 bars to 4-6 :) so pretty much we are getting sprint premium service for half the cost :)
Thats great. Im glad it worked for you.

So your call quality is better, presumably... but what I'm wondering is, will this affect data speeds at all?
Im not sure it will effect the 3g speeds so much as the signal reception. Of course the better signal the better the 3g though.

For me I would lose signal completely to barely any signal in my office which is in a large concrete and steel building. I am doing only a little better with the Sprint prl but it is better. Not much but it is noticable.

Another tip guys,
This really did work for me and i would really like to see if it works for you guys.

Remember in the other post about messing with the VOCODERS
well

I changed mine to
Home Orig. Vocoder- EVRC
Home Page Vocoder- Wild
Roam Orig. Vocoder- EVRC

This improved my 3g speed by like 1/4 mbps more

I played with all possible combinations and i felt like this was the fastest.
I was even getting 1mpbs downloads during congested hours of the day

Interesting... I just ran a few morning early-morning tests using EVRC/EVRC/EVRC and EVRC/Wild/EVRC configurations, here are the results, again in kbps (averages in bold), again using mobilespeedtest.

1st string: EC/Wld/EC -- 635, 688, 632, 634, 706 = 659
2nd string: EC/EC/EC -- 773, 672, 653, 499, 668 = 653
3rd string: EC/Wld/EC -- 883, 888, 857, 1022, 939 = 918
4th string: EC/EC/EC -- 903, 936, 909, 719, 642 = 822

The difference is slight...

EDIT: Here's another test with stlouizins config:
5th string: 13k/Wld/13k - 875, 956, 889, 811, 973 = 901

I think it's almost impossible to conclude as there is no way to set a "control," as the network conditions will never be the same twice.

Also, these were all performed on standard Boost PRL. Maybe one of these days I'll be bored enough to find a copy of CDMA Workshop and load a Sprint PRL, and re-test.

After much testing I have the best results here in NC with 60683 prl and changing all vocoders to 4GV. I am averaging around 1140kbps down and 350kbps up at 185ms ping. Not too shabby. Went from a steady 1 to 2 bars inside my home to a steady 3 to 4 bars. Will continue testing as the day goes along.

EDIT: Here is a link to an index of Sprint PRL files

So is it possible to load the newest prl from the page you showed us? I will go home and try the latest prl later on.

Yes. The latest PRL is 60683. The 60711 PRL has been out since 2008. I would suggest doing as I did and running through the list updating PRL until you find one that suits your needs. There is also another link that gives info on each PRL if you know how to translate the lingo, which I sadly do not. Tech savvy but not that savvy.

Here is that link:

You can find info about each PRL by simply searching the PRL number through google. For example google 60683 PRL and you will see posts from XDA, Android Forums and Android Central about that PRL.
