Root Death by Recovery, now wont boot past motorola icon...

I tried to restore my droid x after noticeable loss of battery life with the clockworkmod recovery but my phone decided it would die during the recovery. Now it will not boot past the motorola icon and only that when its on the charger. If I take it off, after a few seconds it shuts off. Bootloader doesn't work. Can't boot into recovery. Now what?:(

if the battery is dead, you need to find a friend with a DX, or DX2, or go to your local verizon store and ask them to charge your battery (be prepared to spend a while in there)

from there you boot to the bootloader

and then sbf your phone with this as your guide:

Good Luck :)

BTW remove the battery, dont take the phone and the battery in there, just the battery

I'm still trying to learn stuff here, I just recently had to sbf my phone I then rooted again and installed the apex rom. It seems to be running smoothe so far. Couldn't he try booting into to stock recovery first and wiping data/cache before having to sbf?

that means his battery died during the installation, and it never finished installing the correct operating system, basically, he has no choice but to get the battery charged to at least 40%
sbf it, then wipe data and cache in stock recovery, and then boot, and then begin to charge it before he does anything.

this is why we ask to make sure your battery is at the VERY LEAST 50%
