Experienced any problems with the ZTE warp?

I seldom use Wifi, and it's always off until I'm in a zone; I've done everything that has been suggested, yet I still get reboots when I am using an app more than a few minutes.
I have come to the conclusion that this phone is like the Motorola Xoom when it was first released, and just not ready for release yet. It's got the same issues for everyone, and that spells product malfunction. It has nothing to do with bad or corrupted apps, signals or anything else.
I'm sorry ZTE, but I will not be recommending this phone to anyone anytime soon.

I'm not disputing that many people are experiencing a problem, and I'm sorry they have to deal with it. But to say that "It's got the same issues for everyone" is a bit of an overstatement. I've had two Warps (mine and my wife's) for a month, and neither has ever had even the slightest problem that wasn't caused by an app. No locking up, no rebooting by itself, no having to pull the battery, nothing. They're our first smartphones, and they've been excellent performers, and I'm happy I chose them.

Then I will say a majority then, because most of the threads here are associated with people having problems with their warp. And the majority of those are with reboots and freezes. I won't even mention I live in an area that Boost rules, and that those I know of who have Warps are having this problem.
All of these things combined tells me that there is a flaw in the product that is not random.

while my phone has been working with zero lockups / freezes and apparently has no further issues it took some tweaking and fixes to get it there and it seems as tho i was one of the lucky ones i never experienced half the issues others have complained about. I do agree this phone needs a major update there are just too many bugs still to be worked out before this comes close to its promised potential

Do not purchase this phone!!

The Warp has a major design flaw that causes restarts and freezes. This is evident in the number of times this same problem has been brought up, both here and in my hometown. I now know personally of 11 people who are experiencing this issue.
I have had this phone myself for 60 days but have had the first couple weeks to go problem free. Even the reboot issue that I thought had been resolved on my phone has resurfaced within the past week, and I'm experiencing 6 to 10 a day now. My battery is also running at an alarming temperature during the day.
If these things were isolated things happening to only a couple of people I would not be worried, but they are not.
I do plan on returning my phone to ZTE for repair in the next few weeks when my account comes up for renew. In the meantime though, when it come back I plan to give it to my younger son, as I need a reliable phone which it is not. This Warp was not ready for release. In my opinion, if you want a reliable phone, buy a Samsung or LG.

I just dont have ANY problems at all with the 2 warps i own mine and my 17 yr olds not one problem. They came with the latest firmware update i watch movies on netflix at times.I have tv shows and movies on it and over 500 songs and 3 books,at the present moment 53 apps(OVER KILL) I also wear it in a armband case while working out 4 days a week at the gym use Bluetooth daily for calls and wireless(Bluetooth) headphones for the music. Use it as my main source of music in all the cars just plug and play with out a hitch.Never a reboot, lockup, freeze or dropped call.Battery never runs hot. At times its warm. I Have 3g turned off only used it a few times, have wifi at Home,Work,Gym,Stores.Family and Friends, plenty of hotspots around never without internet service.always changing the live wallpapers and cases to match my mood for the day also looking forward to the spring to use the map my ride app for bike rides. Its a great little component and has been by my side trustworthy for the past 4 weeks.Contract free, low monthly bill, and insurance that covers water damage, Solid performer, nice eye-candy, Sound is great and very reliable how the hell can you beat it!!! only thing i wish it came with was a hdmi port.I Highly have and do recommend this product, I just hope you return Your Defected unit like you said you are and Move on with better luck Kamau...

Has anyone had the issue of the stock music player coming on randomly? I know is not related to ring tones. Also I have downloaded some ring tones, designated them as ring tones, found them in the sounds, but now I can no longer find them. Any ideas?

Yes, I have stock music player autostarting sometimes, don't know why, not happening since 2 days. I saw some people with same issue in ZTE Warp forums, no one with a fix yet.

It is a great phone...... When it's working. For many of us though, it's a no-go.
But as I said, I'm only gonna return it when the bill is due. I'm not about to lose 2 weeks of time. But even so, after it gets repaired / replaced, ZTE has a lot to do to gain my confidence back. And as I said before, I will not promote their products. That's their loss because in my hometown of only 10,000 people, Boost has about 60% market here, and already the Warp has a question mark over it. Add to that, that it's refund time, and ZTE is missing the boat. A more stable & reliable phone that was tested a bit more would have been icing on the cake for them.
I'm happy yours is performing well though. Just remember, that the roles could have very well been reversed and that we could have had each other's phone. How would you feel then?
And just to show you how this phone is working for me, I was watching Knoxville363 video on the Warp & the Marquee today. When I started, the batt temp was 90

I have garbage battery life, a randomly force closing browser, and a slightly peeled glass.

Other than that it's been a decent phone at its price point. I don't recall any involuntary reboots.

Someone needs to make batteries for this dang thing.

I posted a fix for the glass problem.. it works well search for it here... and I was getting freezes until I deleted the Facebook application and used a different one.. I noticed it used far too much CPU I monitored it using watchdog and it was CONSISTANTLY. using 40-50+ CPU.. hope this helps.

Yeah it was peeling a little bit in the top right... I took the back off and there are a few small screws I loosened the one at the corner then pushed down lightly on the corner and screwed it back in. Worked like a charm.just be easy. About the Facebook I use friendcaster now.
. Its way better and super fast.... i still has its problems but nothing serious. 100

has any one had the music app start by itself, the stock music app that is. if so do you think if i install a different one that the problem will stop. i am rooted but i know that has nothing to do with it
I'm having the same issue with my music starting all by itself..., it's happened only twice so far but it threw me off guard. I know I didn't accidentally push start on the player since I was in a game when it started..., anyway, if anyone knows what could be causing this please share your fix.
