The phone is in like new condition, just got it from sprint like 3 weeks ago.
I had the palm pre for like 28 days then switched to the moment at the last second. (was gonna say moment lol) But I definitely liked the pre more.

why bro thats crazy :p moments much better than the pre.. just wait til 2.1 comes out and it will solve most of the little bugs it has. trust me! theres a much bigger future for android than there is for webos! have you tried any of the custom kernels and recoveries?

No, and I dont know how you can say the moment is better then the pre. Mine is a laggy POS that doesnt like to stay charged for more then a few hours at a time. I constantly have to restart it while its tethered to my laptop because of some abnormal header or something that my pc loses connection to the phone when I havent touched it and its just sitting there. also pandora actually works on webos, and it has 3d games. I regret buying my moment every time I have to use the **** thing. the keyboard is unresponsive, I get texts like 3 or 4 times after the original, the dialer and lock screens are epic fail, no multi-touch, and this phone takes like 3 times as long to start up as the pre. It just feels like the moment was pushed out without a care in the world that it runs like crap. and Android, sprint, or samsung seems to not care.

edit://
also flash is coming to webos and not the moment if im not mistaken

You should really try one of the custom kernals before you jump ship. They make all the difference in the world. NO more battery issues, it lasts way longer than the last two windows mobile phones I had, speed is great and lags are all but non existant. Give it a try over at sdx-developers and midnightchannel.net. You won't be sorry!

Sorry to hijack, but I just don't understand what these "custom kernals" do, and how they would make my phone experience any better. I tried to read about them, but I just don't get it. Can anyone explain it in a dumb down version? Also, I have I just got the Moment, coming from the Pre (still have it). I wasn't too happy with the Pre.

In theory, a custom kernel can add new features and improve performance. They include root access that will allow you to remove the Sprint installed apps,if their presence pisses you off. The reality for me was that the few kernels available for this phone somewhat broke the bluetooth connection between my Moment and WEP870 headset. I've since flashed back to stock. If you want to learn more, check out the root sub forum here also SDX is a good place to check out. There are similar if slightly differently applied hacks for the pre that allow installation of homebrew apps. BTW, if you're not going to use your Pre I think I know sad faced lunchbox that might be interested :D

Thanks, that was pretty funny. My only complaint with my Moment is that the damn bluetooth will not auto connect. It worked for a few days, now it doesn't. I think I'm going to do a reset on it, and then try it. I've only had it since last Friday and haven't added many apps or anything, so it shouldn't take too long to get it set back up. I use google for contacts so that makes it easy.

Well I am sure someone more technical could explain this better than me, but here goes:
I always had problems with bluetooth and many of them are Googles fault. How in the world in this day and age can a phone not even do file transfers? Notifications in the earpiece? Audio in the earpiece?
Pairing was always a pain and connecting was even worse, but with the CL14 update my phone actually pairs everytime exactly like any other phone and connects everytime as soon as I turn on my earpiece. HUGE difference.
As for the kernals, they do offer root access and that is nice, but they also speed things up. Except for a couple of times, they have made things work better, and when they don't you can flash back to an earlier one until they get it worked out. The battery improvements have been AMAZING! I carry my phone all day and keep a bluetooth headset on all day. When I first got the phone it would die anywhere from 3 to 4 hours after I pulled it off charge. Now with the battery code it will go 26 to 30 hours without a charge. It's what it should have been when I bought it, and when 2.1 comes out it will be even better. I LOVE THIS PHONE NOW!

trust me stay away from the Pre. my wife and i both had a pre, and since launch day we are on pre #6, both of us had to warranty out 3, we just got tired of it and upgraded. the moment takes some getting used to , but trust me, in the long run, it blows away the pre.

edit:
i should read the whole thread before posting...

or at least check the dates
