pancake is nice... and yes it's fast.. but for ME it seems to use the battery up a bit faster..like I said.. for me it does.. until the new kitchen gets released I'll just stick with Fresh as my daily ROM and play with the others...
What exactly defines a "ROM"? I mean, is just removing the Sprint apps considered making your own ROM? Or are there other changes things like Pancake 0.1 do to the phone that make it a ROM?
Just something that popped into my head the past couple days while reading

ROM=Read Only Memory... or in the case of our phones.. a ROM is the entire OS and Apps all packaged into one nice complete bundle.
what makes them different is the way the ROM creator tweaks and optimizes the OS portion of the ROM
Sorry if this was asked. I am just wondering, need something new.
+1 for pancake 0.1. Been using it for a few days and It seems pretty fast, just wish someone made a ROM that eliminated my browser keyboard lag. That is probably my biggest bitch about this phone. I flashed the gumbo .31 kernel over it, because it seems to do a better job at task managing.
So many ROM to choose and test. What gonna happen once 2.1 comes out?
So far I tested following: Fresh, Gumbo 1.5c and Pancake. I'm currently running my own version of Pancake modified ROM and I think battery life is good. This is w/o SetCPU. x-ing fingers.
yeah, how is that working out for you? I was wondering If I should flash the .31 kernal or not. My phone seems to be doing pretty good with what came with the Pancake 0.1 rom, so not sure if I really wanted to flash it or not.
ok I think Im going to try out the pancake ROM....... lol Pancake cool name for a ROM
If I knew how to make a rom I would have called it flapjack instead of pancake lol
