Help Sat Nav Problems?

Hi guys,

I want to install a standalone satnav program on my N1 (unrooted) for a trip around Europe where I don't wanna rack up huge roaming charges.

I have read lots of people reporting that Co-Pilot Live doesn't work on their N1 and some reporting it does with no explanation why.

Does anyone know if iGo or any other alternatives work on the Nexus or what steps I can take to make them work?

I use Mapdroyd. It's free and allows you to use the SD card to store all the maps. Since the Nexus one has a built in gps you can just use that with the maps you download BEFORE you go on your trip.

Copilot seems to work OK for me. It obviously works the way you want. Maps on SD and no data required to work.

Co-Pilot 8 on my Nexus One works fine. Only annoying thing is that it doesn't link to the addresses in your contacts list but I guess it's a minor grip.

I'm sure I read that CoPilot Live works on the stock N1 (Stock firmware) but doesn't work on any 1.6 ROMs such as Cyanogen or Modaco (I run Cyanogen)
I have yet to try CoPilot as I don't want to spend nearly

Haha! How strange...I'm sure they were advertising the fact that it is on Android since it has been for a while now.
