Root Trying unroot HTC EVO 4G. Tried Everything! HELP!

So I finally piecemealed my old evo 4g back together after I completely smashed my new one.

Problem is I get shit for reception. I don't know if its the physical antenna or the radio and such. I have insurance, so I want to unroot it and take it in for service.

So I applied unrevoked s-on tool. That worked
But when I try to flash PCIMG36, I get "no img wrong img"

I've done this in Hboot, Fastboot, and the HTC RUU utility thing. But to no avail nothing works.
I've also used different micro sd cards and reformatted them and placing only the pc36img on them. Still Nada.

Also when in Clockworkmod Rom Manager, I update revovery, and it says its updated. But when I boot into recovery its still v2.6.0.1. Same happend when I flashed RA recovery and RomManager Touch recovery.

Then I flashed a rooted stock froyo rom to reapply unrevoked. When s-off was back on, pc36img was recognized and asked for update. I said yes, it confirmed update, but still nothing changed.

Also in froyo it let me flash EVO_Radio_2.15.00.11.19 after failed attemps in CM7.

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
moved you to the rooting section as you will get better help here.

unrooting your phone is a two step process.
1. flash the unrevoked s-on tool
2. flash the PC36IMG ruu via bootloader.

use this guide here:
http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/194918-rooting-dummies.html

just go to the unrooting section.

I reapplied unrevoked and s-off. When I went into hboot (Power+vol Down) PC36IMG went through and asked for update. i did vol up for yes and it updated but hboot still stayed 0.97.0000 and nothing updated. even tho it went thru the process and ok'd everything, nothing changed and no update

That's normal. Your hboot will remain the same after the PC36IMG.zip update. From the sounds of it, you're unrooted. To be sure, try running a root only app and see what happens.
