I've owned the OG and now the 3d and am anxious to get my hands on El TEvo...which leads me to...
I've been a part of this community since the "supersonic" days and have enjoyed it thoroughly. it's been mentioned and I agree that the excitement around (in my Univision voice) El TEvo has brought me back to the days when OG was announced. some people will never understand (my wife and most of yours') how and why a phone can keep us so intrigued and like children with excitement. this is not the place to go into that by the way, but for some reason the EL TEvo vibe has got me in the mood to do/try something Epic to commemorate our interest/devotion to our mobile tech love. I tend to think BIG and my idea is just that. so here goes..
there's a show on tv called "touch" and one piece of the show involves an OG that has traveled the world and each recipient adds a small piece of video to it and passes it along...that's the short version...I'm thinking it would be mega cool to do something like this . once I get EL TEvo I'll hand the wife 3vo and would be willing to donate OG to this experiment. I would start the chain by doing a vid of myself saying hi using my AF name or something interesting etc. you get the idea hopefully...I would then mail it to an address I pick off a list of AF members or something and the recipient would do the same. whenever someone got it in the mail they would document on the forum perhaps in it's own thread or something and we would just see how long we could keep it moving around the world. I haven't fully thought it all out yet, so anyone who thinks it could be a cool experiment please feel free to chime in and add some ideas of how we could structure it and so on. if we did it right, I could see this gaining national attention, from the likes of htc themselves as well as plenty others. it would also be cool to get to know that much more about other members, especially those in other parts of the world. I haven't thought about what we would do once the memory card got full, but if that happened it would mean the experiment is working. of course the honor system would be in play here, and we would hope that people would want to keep it going and not do anything "stupid". we could police it ourselves and just delete anything that was "inappropriate" before mailing it to the next destination. like I said, I'm open to suggestions. sorry if this is off topic and all that...I did answer the poll question though...just was feeling very harmonious with all the good vibes and memories of the OG days and EL TEvo talk and this popped in my head. let me know what you think and if you think we could do it....
