Root LG Opt V Problems After Root

Hi, so I recently rooted my new LG Optimus V that I bought the other day at WalMart. I played around on the stock version of it for awhile then I decided that I wanted to root it.

I looked at Youtube for root tuts, but most were old.
I tried Superoneclick first, but it always hanged at Shell Root Step 5.
So I used THIS GUIDE. I followed that guide pretty well I think.

I think this is when I started noticing some little problems. The first thing is that I wasnt able to read the SD on my PC anymore. I had the SD mounted and unmounted, debugging enabled and disabled, and I even removed it from the phone, but it asked me to reformat it so I did not do that.

I downloaded a theme or two through the phone and applied it through Theme Chooser. I rebooted the phone, but I never did it through recovery because I didnt realize I was supposed to. I tried to access my Recovery, but now it loads up the Blank Screen after the LG Logo.

I read a bunch of things on here, but didnt know what to do. I was going to use Xionia, but I cant use my SD card.

I probably made a huge mistake at this point. I installed Gingerbreak 1.2 again and unrooted. I rebooted, but nothing really changed. Gingerbreak says its not rooted, but it wont let me root again.

I'm just really really lost at this point and I don't know what to do. I wouldn't mind going back to stock and then re-rooting properly again with the most up to date guide.I'm just trying not to brick it at this point. I hate that this is my first post here, but I really need the help. Thanks in advance.

Make sure to have adb in your system path variable!!
1. Download this file: Gordita-Root.zip
2. Extract were ever you downloaded it to
3. Open the folder Gordita-Root, and click Gordita.bat
Done!
This should install a new recovery for you.

Ok, thank you for your help!

How do I make sure I have the ABD Variable?

I've downloaded Gordita Root onto my phone and I can open it through File Manager. I selected Backup Rom, Wipe Cache,, Wipe Dalvik. But when I click run I get an error and it tells me that my phone needs to be rooted.

I still have superuser on my phone ad it'll ru if I click it. It says, "You must root you phone for ROM Manager to function. Superuser was not found at "/system/bin/su" or ?/system/xbi/su". Root your phone.

...I really wish I did't try to unroot it earlier
