I have a samsung galaxy s2 bought here in Belgium, i had android 2.3.6 running on it but it was not updatetable (not on Kies or manualy through my s2) to android 4.0, even knowing the phone is brand new it seemed that I had a costum rom which made it impossible for me to update it to 4.0 (which is released in Belgium)
So I installed a official samsung rom (android 2.3.5 - Netherlands version) which is working very fine exept one thing = I still can't update it to 4.0, nor is it possible to update my firmware through Samsung Kies...

For the update, my friend has a galaxy S2 as well but he could update it from android 2.3.5 to 4.0
SO my question is WHY can't I update my S2 to android 4.0 or HOW??

Try doing exactly the same thing you did with the netherlands 2.3.5, but instead install the netherlands 4.0.3 one. Here a link to the firmware (XWLP7).

Greetings ironass sorry but this is just my first time posting.. just wonder if "OLC" is now able to auto update if not can you give some options on what to do? Thanks and more power

Hello and welcome to Android Forums finefine! :)

As per post #2, here, there does not appear to be an update for CSC code, "OLC", yet.

You can still upgrade to ICS, by downloading an alternative ICS firmware for your model of phone and installing it via Odin, as described under, "My firmware is not eligible for ICS yet but I want it now! in post #1 of the above link. This will, of course, void your warranty though.
