So, my Samsung Infuse isn't reading ANY of the music files on my SD card.
at least 7/300 of them show up in my Music App on my phone. I tried moving them into different files, but that didn't seem to work. Neither did converting them. In this situation what should i do so i could have all my media files play in my music app/

Is your sd card mounted? Once I was in a state of panic because one of my phones refused to recognize hundreds of music files that I had actually paid for, and when I checked my sd card was unmounted. After remounting, all was well.

What do you mean you tried "moving them to different files"? Like where?
What do you mean you tried "converting" them? To what?
Also, people get hung up about their media being on their external card. It usually isn't (though I don't understand) unless you put it there.
Also, I don't know what "mediascanner" is, but Power amp, for example, has the option to chose where you want it to look for music in. By default, it looks in Internal only (which is where most downloads go to)(on s2, anyways).
I sometimes move music to external, and then set power amp to search accordingly.
