So ive read all over. Everything says I need a rooted phone. But everything says before unlocking the bootloader and rooting the phone to do a full system backup. Does anybody have a link that explains how to do the backup WITHOUT having a already rooted phone?

they mean back up the contents of the sdcard, cause once you unlock the bootloader it wipes out the bootloader, i have heard you can root it with a locked bootloader, but i havent tried.

once you root with the bootloader unlocked, you can make a backup.

Isnt that kinda stupid being our phones dont come with a SDCard?

While technically the phone does not have an SDCard, there is a portion of memory that is formatted to appear to the OS as an SDCard.

When you unlock your bootloader, the entire phone is wiped back to its default state. If you don't back up things like your music & photos that are stored on the "SDCard", they will be wiped out.

This is why it is a good idea to do all this right after you get your phone and nothing is on it and nothing to loose :)
