clear voice mail notification with out calling???

how do you make that stupid icon go away on the phone.
I know who it is, n don't care.

Well...two suggestions come to mind..

If you have, or can download Visual Voicemail, then you can simply delete the voicemail.

If you simply want to clear the voicemail without using your minutes, you can call into your voicemail from a landline. Dial your own mobile number and when your outgoing message starts, press * or # (different voicemail systems use either one or the other)
At the prompt, enter your password, then as the message starts, press 7, and the message is deleted.

Honestly, since I have Visual Voicemail from Sprint, I am not sure.

I would look at the user ratings for each and try the one with the best user rating.

Visual voice mail is not available on Virgin Mobile.

What you CAN do to save minutes (if that is any concern) is to call your own number using a landline or someone else's phone for example, and press either * or # (i forget which one, sorry) and that will prompt you to enter your voicemail password, after which you can listen to your messages and/or clear them out that way without using VM minutes on your plan.

kct1975:Seems like your advice, although well meant, will not work on this phone as Virgin Mobile want's to have total control over every aspect of there service. Not like other carriers.
