Root [CWM] Clockworkmod Recovery for the LG Optimus M+

Hang in there. This forum doesn't have a lot of members just yet, and most of them have work or school to attend to. It might take a while for someone who has actually flashed the recovery to give you a step by step. I'm sure it will happen as most members here are really, really helpful. It just might take a little while today.

Hey Y'all:

The CWM works fine except for me I have to use ADB or the emulator to reboot into recovery, or else it LG logo locks(L3). The lock is easily broken by the hard reset button combo, then boots factory stock. So, I reboot recovery , restore and everything comes back. I think they have a mount that might be misordered from the factory.

BTW: What gives with the _ExternalSD folder? Is it a real partition? I want to format a 16GB SDCard, but I'm not sure just how much to allocate, and where?

_ExternalSD is technically your SD card, where as SD card is your phone's internal memory.

We'll that explains why all the junk has stuffed my phone to the gills.

OK. I've been trying to partition a 16GB card with no luck. I got my phone in fastboot download right now after I lost wifi & data and formatted my recovery into outer space.

Fast boot:
Remove Battery, plug into USB
hold Vol Up & Vol Down W/Power
(when Logo starts)
release power
(when Logo stops)
Press power

(Fastboot!)

I got CWM via term emulator > reboot recovery

Can I remove the sdcard in fastboot? or must I power down?

Thanks guys for the help!!

Hi Shabby Penguin, citric and everyone here on the M+ forums. We're currently exploring development of CWM on the Optimus Elite and despite reading the "do whatever the bleep you want" clause, still wanted to credit you and let you know about our project in case it works.

Please let me know if any of this is not all right with you and you prefer us NOT releasing the build, etc. etc.

Again thanks for your hard work :)
