Root Help!! Sd card nightmare!!

HELP!! I transfered my files from a 4g to a 16g card and now all my root apps (Titanium Backup, Root Explorer..etc) dont work properly? What went WRONG?? I just wanted to have more space!!

So I wanted to upgrade my sd card from a 4g to a 16g right? Well I did as suggested on a previous post and dragged the files on to the desktop of my PC and dropped them on the new card....well now NONE of my root apps (Titanium Backup, Quick Boot, Root Explorer) work. I keep getting an error message saying ACTIVITY SUPERUSER REQUEST (IN APPLICATION SUPERUSER) IS NOT RESPONDING!! And then it force closes?

PLEASE SAVE ME I'M NEW TO THIS STUFF!! Someone suggested a data wipe but being that the apps wont even open I cant access the progam for data wipe for the apps.:(:(

Go to settings>applications>downloaded and wipe thevdata ffom the root apps. If that doesn't work try and go to recovery>advance>fix permissiojs

Have you tried to uninstall the apps and then reinstall? Or maybe reboot your phone. Or try to recopy all files from the cards agian, but copy them individually (one file at a time) so that everything copies over correctly.

When you dragged the files to your desktop, did you retain folders structure? Meaning is everything still in the folders, in the folders, like they were originally?

Also, does the old sd card still work?

sounds like something didn't copy right, if you still have the original files try coping one file at a time from the old card to the new card.

When i upgraded my card i copied the external contents to my desktop. I didn't delete the card contents until the new card was situated. I pasted to the new card just like it should be and everything worked as normal.

Hopefully you didn't delete your old sd. Just copy and paste again of you didn't. The only reason the apps wouldn't work is if something changed and straight copying doesn't change anything so there's more at play here.

I would also try reinstalling the apps. Uninstalling won't delete your data so don't worry about that.

Yes I still have the 4g card and everything seems to be on there. I did copy the card to my pc desktop and dragged and dropped to the new card. I will try this process again to see if it works but first I will try unistalling and re-installing the apps.

If you had moved apps to your sd card, you may not have moved the hidden folders if any were required.

And frankly, shame on you for using a piracy app - for the second time, mod staff has removed its reference in your post. that's only completely against our rules here.

BTW - duplicate topic posts merged into this one thread.

Sorry, but i'm not sure which app you are talking about. I am new too rooting and though every app I was using was legal, so forgive me for being green about this:(, but if you would so kindly PM me and tell me the name of the app I will make sure I dont refer to it again.:bawling:

If you don't know, you don't know. So don't be upset. Your intentions were good I'm sure. Try to use market links if your going to post a link, that way there is no doubt.

damm i hate working nights... i always miss the good stuff lol

AHHH!! Still having the same problem..none of my root apps work so I can't get into recovery mode!! PLEASE S.O.S.!! I'm desperate!! All I wanted was a larger SD card!!

I need help with my SD card. the internal 4gb card says it is full, I have no idea how to look to see what is on it or how to delete anything that is no needed. I have 16 gb external card mounted that is empty. How do I move things there, and be able to access them.
I have zvd. kernal 2.6.35.7 plague+. build number plagued_v1.0.
Can anyone help me in plain and simple language, I am not that clever!!! although I did manage to root!!
Thanks

Go to settings>applications>manage applications
That will give you a list of all the apps downloaded and you can choose which apps to uninstall.
There's a 3rd tab call sd card. If you go there then it has all the apps you can move to your sd card

idk if this is still relevant or not but....make sure you have uknown sources checked in your apps menu. my superuser would also crash the exact same way you are describing after i did a wipe/recover. along with any other app that required superuser access. as soon as i checked that it was like magic

Hmmmm.... sounds like you might just have to reformat your new 16gb and keep everything on the 4gb for now till you do so. then copy everything as is from 4gb to your 16gb... or you can copy over everything all over again assuming you have W7 And just *cop&replace all folders and data over.. should work if not might have an issue with the card itself i know it sounds a bit bland but some sd's are faulty and only copy over images instead of solid data... ghost.data / phantom apps. happns with HDD/SSD's too...

@ldrifta haha i know what u meen... i work from 5pm-6am M-F sleep allday and do it again. suxxxx
