Transferring Apps to new Tablet

Hello. I just got my Nexus 7 tablet today. I'm loving it. I would like to know how I could transfer all the apps and it's saved data on the app to the nexus 7. I previously used the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. For some of the games that I have on that like defender ii and asphalt 6 adrenaline I would like to move these apps, and the data on my nexus. Can I do this?

If you root, it's easy as pie. make a titanium backup of the apps, then copy your TiBu backup folder to the new device.

here's the tricky part - install the same apps from the play store, then load only the data for those apps.

if you're not rooted, I'm not sure if that is possible. However, if you used the same Google account to log into the new device, it should automagically redownload your apps and settings for you.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I am using the same account with both tablets. When I logged on the new tablet, it did not download all the other apps I had from the other tablet. How can I transfer the apps without rooting any of the tablets?

First and foremost, you'll need to verify that the missing apps are compatible with the new device as that may be part of the issue (particularly if the two devices have different versions of Android, like Honeycomb versus Ice Cream Sandwich).
