Tried using Google Navigation today. It restarted my phone 3 times (and appeared to be trying to overheat the phone..hot to the touch..) and even disabled it completely (black screen) until I did a battery pull, then when it restarted it went straight to the camera and refused to leave the camera mode until i pulled that battery again in which case it responded by only loading one of the home screens and freezing again.

Anyone heard of a fix for this, seems to be an unsolved problem with android all over the net..

I used navigation for the first time last night. I noticed it was "beta". I initially got an error about the gps not being turned on (it was). Then I got a "data loss" error. Then it actually worked but the battery got very hot (uncomfortable to hold). The battery drained very quickly (i started at %30). The phone went dead before reaching destination.
TBH, imo the rezound is a bust. The battery life is terribad. The "hot" battery actually worries me a little. I keep wondering if it's going to explode lol.
Oh well, I have a year left on my upgrade......
I'm very tempted to say screw it and get a new galaxy s3.

Mine reset several times and still got hot, like burning hot almost.
I'm wondering a little if maybe Verizon sabotages the abilities of Google Navigation to steer you to their navigation program. Yeah, conspiracy theory, but you know what? Look at the world around you, right now, and the things companies have gotten away with.

Also - i had my phone plugged into the charger while i was driving and using this program and the battery was probably at around 90%.
