I started out with amon ra recovery but it didn't like it too much. I downloaded clockworkmod touch and it seems to work ok except for one thing. When I go to backup a rom it will stall in the middle of the backup. Not sure why.

Also. How do I make a full nanDroid backup with amon ra? I checked all the boxes but it would not work with them all checked.

Lastly, if I mistakenly deleted my backup of the stock rom how do I get back to stock. Run the ruu as a PH98IMG?

clockwork is not really reccomended for the rezound

all you need is boot,system,and data. if you move alot of apps to sd you may want to also bckup android sercure. its not neccesary to backup cache,but you can if you want.

biggest causes of errors when running a backup:
-insuffucuent battery charge
-not enuff space on the sd(just casue its 32gb doesnt mean it cant be within 700 mb of being full )

run an RUU as a PH98IMG or .exe file,doesnt really matter wich

One last question. In an S off state, what file can I flash as a PH98IMG? To get me back to stock .12? Lots of files out there and it's a tiny bit confusing.

CWM recovery and Rom manager don't work well with the rezound, not sure exactly why but I know from experience you will get boot loops if you use it to flash roms.

Scotty could enlighten further, but generally all u need for a 'full' nandroid backup are /system, /data, and optionally, /cache and recovery.

I have never come across a time I needed .android_secure , and my sdcard is too full to store a backup of itself so I use my PC to do that.

Checking the box that says compress backup with amon ra creates a backup that can't be restored unless you manually uncompress it, in my experience. Go figure.

Technically speaking, nandroid backups use the same underlying data format as.clockworkmod backups. The only difference is that clockworkmod backups are stored in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup .

I just moved a nandroid backup into a /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup folder and used the 'Extract from CWM backup' feature in Titanium Backup, and it worked.

I know amon ra isn't touch, per se, but give it a chance and you will learn to love its power. You can use the 'back' button with amon ra, just fyi.

PS make sure you use amon ra 3.15 or later.

PPS I think I read team win recovery works ok on resound if u absolutely can't stand amon ra.
