Root LED Indicator no longer working with SMS apps

I have BB 0.9 as well as the smokeless glass theme and noticed that on my SMS app, CHOMPSMS the LED does not work. I try to 'test notification' but the LED does not flash regardless of the color I choose. This is extremely annoying as I don't know when I have a text anymore unless I hear my phone. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as going back to Handcent but still no luck. Is there an easy solution for this? I'm hoping!

The LED will work. The screen just has to be off.

This is a 2.1 feature. LED notifications with the screen on is redundant.

Wow, was not aware and I had it set to automatically mark as read, on quick reply so thats why it was not working. I will uncheck that setting and be on my way, THANKS!

It's only redundant if the notification bar is showing. If it's being hidden by an app (like the dock, for example) and the screen is still on, you don't get a visible notification.

exactly. i use the multimedia dock at night in the "dimmed" mode. it's nice to be able to see a msg without touching it.

they should have made this an option.

LED comes on for me if I have another app open in full screen.
