which tablet???

I'm looking for a really good, high end tablet
the transformer infinity is probably best.

but then i started thinking, do i need a tablet?( i need something small and portable for college)
I have a Laptop but it's a 17in, and mainly use it like a desktop.
the question, should i get a netbook or a high-end android tablet?
thanks guys

Infinity or Prime with the docking station. It adds a whole new element to the device. I would definitely opt for one of those over a net book or chrome book, because you get the tablet experience and the laptop experience in one device. I've written in other posts about the differences between the Prime and Infinity (I like the Prime better).

I've tried the Note 10.1 and just didn't like it. Typical Samsung plastic feel and not as sleek as the Asus tabs.

I've yet to try the Nexus 10, but I love my 7.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Big question is what are you planning on doing with it? Do you plan on using it for typing up reports etc....? If so a new book is probably the better way to go, nothing beats a physical keyboard for typing. If you are just going to use it for entertainment (reading, movies, browsing the web) then I would look at the Nexus line (7 or 10). Can't go wrong with either one or there price.

I picked up the Nexus 7 because I mostly read on my tablet. The smaller size puts less fatigue on my arms when I have to stand and read (I commute on a train which can be busy). If I was going to use it for mostly browsing the web, socializing, etc... I would pick up the Nexus 10. Big screen is nice.

The real question is how will this new item be used. If you want a portable device for mainly consumption needs, a tablet is the way to go (and if so I recommend a Nexus tablet).

If you are using the new device for note taking (or any kind of heavy duty work like photo editing), I think you would prefer a keyboard and therefore a laptop.

I would suggest getting notebook like an asus x202e. They go for about $500. It is a windows 8 notebook with 11.6" touchscreen, i3 processor, 500gb, 4gb ram. Light, portable and you will be able to do real work on it. I have both a galaxy tab 7 and ipad3. They are fun to use, but serious work demands a PC IMO.
