Do you think the S4 will get overlooked compared to the S3?

I posted this here because I am wondering how S3 owners feels about it. I keep seeing in the news about March 14th and unveiling the S4...and I just keeping thinking about how I could care less about the S4. They hyped up the S3 so much and it turned out to be a cool phone and all but it's still just a phone just like almost any other phone with a few cool features. To me, all this hype is getting old fast and I really don't see how much better the S4 is going to be than the S3. I'll be interested to see it, but that's it. Plus being on contract I wouldn't even be tempted to buy a new phone until next year if I even need one by then. The S3 is good enough for me, I don't know what more you could expect from an S4. Seems like a waste to me. Any thoughts? People excited? Not excited? Anybody plan to get it? I couldn't see shelling out $600 for a phone after I got to keep my unlimited data on VZW with getting the S3

Same boat as you. Still unlimited. This phone does what it needs for me. It's fast, efficient. Not happy with JB at all. Took away features and added some I don't use. Really stupid in my opinion. I may be forced to root someday but until then I'm good and see myself having this phone for some time. I still really enjoy it and think I'll continue to.

I actually couldn't care less. I care so little about the S4, its literally impossible to care any less. Probably because I have the S3 for 2 years. Maybe the S5 or Note 4 will interest me.

Exactly. Hard to believe I've already had my S3 for almost a year now. I can't see it becoming slow or outdated within the next 12 months. I see it being good enough for much longer than that, and considering the poor reputation that Samsung previously had for updating their phone software, I've been repeatedly surprised and pleased with the numerous updates and upgrades that Samsung has delivered since the phone's release. The phone just keeps receiving more features and getting better!

I definitely won't be jealous of the S4, although I'll be pleased to observe whatever technological progress the latest phones make until I am ready for an upgrade.

I'll wait to see the specs before I make my final decision but I could be tempted. Not because I need to, more because I can. The joy of being pay as you go. If it doesn't tickle my fancy I'll be more than happy to keep my s3.

The S3 is arguably the first phone that surpassed the iphone5. when the iphone 5 somewhat flopped everyone fled the the s3. It was a large jump above previous android phones, well marketed, and a great phone. I had been planning on getting the s4, and I still may when everything is made official, but i think they are reaching the point where one year does not make a huge difference, as it has with the s1-s2 and s2-s3

As a geek, ill be interested to see it obviously but with all the new generation of superphones being launched left right and centre, i dont think itl cause as much of a storm as the Htc One X and S3 did at the time.
Ill be interested to see what chipset and screen they use.

Yeah, the One is double a One X in every regard, yet the overall interest seems lower. Same could happen with the SGS4.

It is a generalisation to be fair, but I do correct at least 1 American a Month on this forum

But EM is right, although it is commonly used with the "could", not everyone does. However it is only Americans whom do it.

The international S4 will no doubt be launched first. The US S3 came a little while after the i9300

You know that's right. I've read so many conflicting stories about the Galaxy S4 that I hardly know what is true these days.

All I do know is that, like EarlyMon said... it's made by Samsung, it's going to be called the Galaxy S4, and that I want it!

I am loving my S3 right now post root and flashing a couple of cool roms. With that said, I love new stuff and have upgrades available.......will be tempted. Maybe something between S3 and Note 2??? Quad core with bigger screen but not a beast like Note 2?? Tried that and although big is nice...Note 2 was too big for my liking.
