Help How to change e-mail user name help needed

My email server provider has changed so I needed to change the incoming and outgoing POP and STMP settings. All OK except the phone (Galaxy S2) won't let me change the incoming server user name. The background in the text box is grey rather than white. Can anyone offer advice or do I have to delete the account and re-install? Thanks.

I think your going to have to add a new account as its the user name thjat your changing

My provider has changed to a different server. On my PC and laptop I only had to make a simple addition to the user name and the new pop and stmp addresses. All the other settings and passwords stayed the same.
It is only my Galaxy S2 that has let me make all the changes except to the pop username. I would still prefer to keep all my e-mails. I would lose them if I deleted the account to make a new one.

You dont have to delete the old account, just add the new one in that way you should still be able to see the old mails

Anyone have another idea how to resolve this, I have the same problem. I don't want to delete the account as I want to keep the emails, I cant setup a new account as its the same email address and I cant have two the same nor can I change the old one. Dam frustrating. (I have a domain but have changed the provider the new one requires a different format for the username)
