Unlocked bootload and CM10

I didn't seem to have this problem, and nobody else has reported it yet. Restoring data from a backup from stock to custom may have caused this issue. Could you try a "clear data" on the messaging app? Or dialing *228? If that doesn't work, could you try wiping and testing it before restoring your data?
I cleared data and dialed *228, no dice. Tomorrow I'll take a Nandroid backup of what I have now, reflash, and see what happens. I also downloaded Handcent SMS and got the same error.

Can you pull a logcat (adb logcat > logcat.txt) and dmesg (adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt) during the boot animation freeze using adb? Also, a "wipe data/factory reset" in CWM may fix the issue.

I'm really excited that this is finally so close to being complete. I've been waiting for so long for this to happen. I would test but I don't want to lose everything I have on my phone as it is and its on ICS at the moment. If there is a way I can take what I have and back it up on ICS so I can put it back later if need be then I will gladly help test this.

Edit: After posting this I looked around for a backup method I could use and it seems I can use adb backup to make a full backup of my phone. I'm doing that now and when it is done hopefully I can test this custom kernel and ROM.

Phone doesnt work. Whenever you try to call someone it freezes and the phone reboots
does it work for anyone else?

I haven't noticed this problem - just made a call and it connected just fine. Does clearing data on the phone app or a data wipe fix things?

EDIT: Could you pull a /proc/last_kmsg after the reboot using adb? Or get a logcat while it's frozen?

Hey, sadly I have one more issue :( Game performance is quite leggy, averaging 15 fps for every game. From what I've heard this is a CM10 issues, and should be fixed by flashing a .zip, but that zip corrupted the ROM and I had to use a Nan droid backup to get back to the ROM.

Which game had the issue? I'll try it out and get a logcat to investigate if you want. This shouldn't be the surfaceflinger CM10 issue as that patch is in the kernel; your particular CPU may not like the spectrum overclock, or something else may be causing problems.

Temple Run 2, Hill Climb Racing and Angry Birds.

I ran Temple Run 2 and Angry Birds on this ROM after a clean wipe; both did not seem to have any issues with lag/stuttering, and the framerate was at least 30 if not much more. Is the max CPU speed set to 1512 MHz (Settings > Performance > accept warning > Processor)? Which governor is shown (mine shows ONDEMAND, switching to performance or interactive didn't really make any difference).

Is "force GPU rendering" in Settings > Developer Options turned on? Another user had performance issues with that flag set.

Does a wipe solve the problem? (You can back up in CWM, wipe to factory defaults, install the game, try it, then restore from CWM without issues).

If none of these work, I might try cooking an 1188 MHz kernel and seeing if that fixes anything.

Ok, so I reflashed to ROM and got the same error, "Invalid destination address." :(

I have 1512MHZ and OnDemand set. I also tried 1188MHZ. Force GPU rendering is off, though I've tried it both ways. I'll reflash and see what happens.

EDIT: Reflashed, same issue :(

Fixed my phone problem!
:D
Edit: Is there even a way for the front camera to be fixed? or will it be forever broken because of kernel issues?

I'm working on the front cam in those few minutes of free time I can muster, and you are right in believing that it is a kernel issue (but that hasn't stopped us, the display was a kernel issue that took a while as well). Even if it doesn't get fixed soon, by Saturday I should have an A2 rom that fixes the power-off charger issue, adds a few kernel features, and makes an attempt at getting the wireless charging cover working.
