Root [RECOVERY][CWM]Clockworkmod Recovery 6.0.2.8 for the Admire/Vitality

so what can we expect from this new updated recovery? can all roms, RFS and EXT4, be flashed with this new CWM, no longer have to be on 2.7 or 2.8? or what i really dont know??

It's CWM 6.0.2.8, which means it's from Android 4.1.2 (derp Jellybean, derp).

Yes, RFS and EXT4 are supported. Backups in multiple formats work as well. If you don't like it, just flash the old CWM back, no big deal.

If you have the most updated SDK tools (At least version 4.1.2), you can also flash straight from your PC using ADB sideloading.

I'll install a rom via cwm 6xxx and see ;)

Roger. I'm working with PlayfulGod to get this added to the official CWM recovery builder.

You can also follow progress at http://github.com/requisite0

Edit: Manually format /system, /data, and /cache in CWM 6 before you install the ROM. Just to be sure it fixes up the partition table.

Hmm. Looks like it's gonna be easy(er) to get CM9 running than 10.1 right now.

I know nothing on this so my input isnt really much but I would think so. CM9 was made to boot on the Admire by Boraichee. But that was something many of us thought impossible, perhaps CM10 .1 is the same. Of course I know nothing about developing so its probably just air. CM10.1 might be too much for the phone

as far as i know, cm9 was made to boot on the prevail and bo grabbed hroark13's rom and started to edit things to make it more admire like. to date there hasnt been a booting cm9+ rom compiled from source for the admire released publicly, at least as far as i know...

cm9 is WORLDS different than cm9, which is slightly different than cm10 and if you have cm10 you have cm10.1 for the most part.
