New VZW OTA

I did a manual check for an upgrade before it was pushed to me. I was anxious to see what was up.

Anyone have any idea why I wouldn't receive this update?

When I try to manually download it, I just get a message that no new updates are available, yet I'm still on 4.03....

I thought I returned my phone to stock, it is S-on, relocked, and I thought it had the most recent OTA update, although I'm a noob in some aspects when it comes to rooting.

I contacted Verizon and they suggested doing a factory reset...

Are you rooted and if so, have you ever flashed a custom recovery or frozen any system files? Those can stop ota from installing although I would think you would still get the ota prompt.

I don't have a link, but you can download the latest OTAPkg manually and use a special process for installing it with fastboot.

I thought 4.03 was the leak? That's what's still on my phone I stopped by to see if JB had dropped (I was really really bored). anyway so this update is still just ICS? I guess I've been away awhile, have y'all been waiting on GB all this time, or was 4.03 pushed?
Anything much better in this OTA than the 4.03 leak that's worth the phone wipe, (or I guess if it was pushed I"m back on cycle and should get it anyway)

We officially got ICS last August... this update is the "official" Global Mode update.

Got the update today and much to my surprise the Rezound is finally Global, wicked !

Battery life is a little better and I also have a little more memory, nice.

Everything else is in working order. Jelly Bean would be nice but this update just put the Rezound back towards the top tier. For a music lover like myself who also travels, this phone is sugary sweet.

I never get to say this but.... Thank you Verizon, better late then never.

I was thinking that my battery life was a bit better too, but I may have found the reason along with a bad side effect.

I could swear that in the EPST menu, the Slot Cycle Index was set at 1 on all of the previous software versions. Now it's set at 2. This determines how frequently the handset looks for a better tower. Higher #'s mean longer intervals and less power consumption.

I haven't tried changing it. It could be changed on my old Incredible as could the Access Overload Class. I know I cannot change the latter on the Rezound. Anyone know how to do that without root?

Is JB S-Off still supported for the new release?
I have a JB compatible patched hboot 2.27 but the
new update is hboot 2.28, I don't think there is a
patched one yet? Can I run the stock rom just rooted
with JB patched hboot 27?

I replaced "28" with the patched "27" on my S-off Rezound after the upgrage...works with no issues for me.
