Does this have the nasty swivel attached or is it possible to detach the clip from the case without damaging it or having anything odd protruding from my pocket, I'm probably in the minority here but I don't want anything hanging from my clip I already have enough with 2 radios and whatnot..

Here's a post on the main Incredible thread where a guys answers your question.

Yes, you can detach the clip ;)

I like this case, and will probably get it. Also, I noticed that the one for the mDroid has a flap that closes to protect the screen, so I expect the version for the Incredible to do the same.

Yes, the clip detaches. Two nifty little features about this case straight from the Body Glove website:

Removable knob for a low profile
Adjustable kickstand built into clip allows for multiple viewing angles

I just ordered up a silicone case from VZW for 16.99. The other cases were out of stock, but amazingly this one wasnt. I farked up and got it in red though, which I did not mean to do. Anyway, it supposedly ships with free overnight, so maybe I will have it by tomorrow. I will post pics and info when I get it.

Update: Just put in order info, and it says it has been processed. So barring catastrophe, it should get here tomorrow.

probably an obvious answer to this question, but does the phone lay horizontally in 'landscape' when it's on the desk charger? I would think so with the USB on the side. However, if it does, will there be some sort of recognition by the phone with a desk clock applicaiton or somethin that opens up? (like the N1 in it's dock)

i'm aware the phone isn't out yet and we can't know for sure, just curious as to what ya guys think or speculate

I was curious about this too-- I thought it'd be a no-brainer, but for some reason, I remember reading somewhere that the desktop charger would be pointless for time and stuff because the Incredible can't enter a landscape clock mode or something. Any input?

Where do i order the tv out cables

VZW isn't releasing it until post DI launch but you can buy it through other channels now (and likely for less).

Here's one:

Amazon.com: OEM HTC TV Out Cable ACT100: Cell Phones & Service

But you can also generally find them on ebay. WARNING THOUGH! Make sure whatever one you get has the charging port on it like the one above! There are some aftermarket companies that make the cable with it but you can also find micro usb to composite w/o the charging port and you won't be able to power the phone while running it to TV out if it doesn't have the port. :)

What are your opinions on what protection any of these cases (silicone, hard snap, leather wrapped in the launch packet, body glove) would offer in the event of dropping the phone. Unfortunately, my Voyager has hit the pavement several times w/o a case and though definitely a little beat up in looks, still works fine. I just CAN'T let that happen to my DI! Would something like the Seidio Innocase 2 offer more protection (assuming the make one)? What about a "skin" of some sort. Any protection at all for other than scratches? Would it help at all in the event of a drop?

If incipio makes a silicrylic case, i would get one (and will). I have one on my storm 1 and i drop it every once and a while and not a thing happens to it. It adds a little bulk to the phone but well worth it imo.

I have had two hard plastic snap on cases for my touch pro, both from little islands in the mall. The first case got into a wreck with me on my motorcycle, and dragged about 20 feet across the pavement in my pocket. It ground a hole in the case, but stopped just short of the phone. It stayed on their like that for 4 more months until the tabs broke off.

The other one is still on my phone. The phone was bought in jan of 08 and is still mint. I am going to order a hardcase for my phone. Thick plastic will do.
