I just got the incredible 4G a couple of weeks ago and today it started lagging incredibly slow. when I would tap the home screen it would take about 15-20 sec to go back to the home screen. I have downloaded a couple off apps but nothing crazy. I had been using slacker radio a lot today and im not sure if it was running in the back ground or not. I removed the battery and now it works fine. my question is there something I should be doing regularly to prevent this lagging?...

Welcome to Android Forums, New. ;)

Sudden lag is most often caused by a new app/widget and set of supporting services running all at once. You can check by going into the Application Manager and looking at the "running" catagory.

Regular, routine clearing of caches in there, in the "downloaded" and the "running" sections, goes a long way in keeping resources available for needed services such as just switching to an app or moving screens or using Gmail or the phone, etc.

Also make sure your syncing apps and widgets are not set to auto sync. Between that happening and using radio and other media you can really slow the thing down. ;)

Clean the caches, shut down, remove the battery, sd card and SIM card, then put it all back in and boot up. Should snap things back quite a bit. Do it regularly. :)
