price for incredible on wirefly up....

Thanks. Very interesting. I'm trying for the Incredible and a Moto Droid for my wife. This would let me do that with the Moto probably only costing $19.99 which is the current Wirefly price for 2-year upgrades when the primary line is included in the extension.

So how do warranty & insurance issues work with Wirefly? Being able to exchange my POS Voyager within the warranty at a VZW store proved invaluable -- I had to have it replaced 4 times.

sorry I have no idea....but I believe if you pay the insurance through Verizon that they offer, then you will still keep it and can use it! Almost 100% about that but as far as the 30 day thing goes no clue..others might be of better help.....although I know some ppl hate wirefly..soooo just give them a call! Good luck!!;)

Wirefly prices change day to day. yesterday Droid was $20 for new or upgrade.

Of note... wait til friday/sat after release and price may be down to $99 for new and upgrade. Thats what they did with droid. On release day it was $149 and the next day it was down to $99. So the question is, is it worth $50 to wait for shipping after ordering release day, then wait another few days for $50 additional price drop....

I think I may wait until friday/sat to see if it ends up being $99 for upgrades... otherwise $149 is same as price with my NE2.

Update: Price is still $20 for new/upgrade at wirefly

I never recommend getting it through WireFly

Are they less reliable for getting the phone to you quickly? I would assume if you can avoid a rebate it wouldn't be much different than ordering from Verizon online would it? You just can't get the phone on day 1.

I'm the 3rd line of a family plan so I have no NE2. I seriously doubt Verizon would give me a discount (even though I haven't extended in 2 years) and I'd prefer to get my phone for under $199. Seems like a place like Wirefly is my only option for a discount. Just curious about the pros and cons.

I am a member of BJ's Wholesale Club and this weeks flyer had a big Verizon ad on the back (since they have mini-verizon stores inside their stores). It advertised a $50 gift card if you "Switch to Verizon" hence a new Verizon customer.

So Verizon might be throwing some marketing dollars towards retailers for a similar type of Promo.

Bizrate review is "Good" but that is on a scale of Poor, Satisfactory, Good, Outstanding.

Trust Pilot gives them a 5.1/10

Epinions gives them a 3.5/5

Better Business Bureau lists them as a company based in Reston,VA under 2 different corporate names. One is listed as an F the other as a B-.

Kinda looks like ordering from them may be a shot in the dark. You may get what you want, quickly and correctly, or you may get nothing and get screwed... the reviews pretty much have made me think about ordering directly from verizon now though... the extra 50 may be worth it to make sure I actually get the phone.

Is your lines plan over 49.99? If so, you may be eligible for upgrade...

I don't see the price on Wirefly, but for what it's worth, the price usually varies not only based on new vs. upgrade, but also on whether you are upgrading the primary line or non-primary lines on a family plan.

I have gotten my last 4 phones from Wirefly. Always shipped quickly. Would never buy from a store again. After the initial return period, you can take your phone to the Verizon store if there are issues.

Check out Slickdeals, there are lengthy discussions about Wirefly deals. If you start with Bing.com and search for "Wirefly," click on the link and you get another $50 Bing cashback per phone from Microsoft.

just a reminder "Upgrade Eligible" and NE2 are different things. getting an upgrade just means you can get it at 2 yr pricing (All lines can after 12 mo with fee and no fee after 20 months on a 2 yr). NE2 is an additional discount on the primary line. This ranges from $30-100 depending on when you entered signed your contract and your phone plan cost.

Wirefly is offering some nice deals and I'm in need of a phone upgrade. My concern/problem is that when adding a phone, it requires that I select a Verizon rate plan(I still have a sweet altell package) and I cant go beyond this screen without making a selection. Deal breaker. Free phone means diddly to me if my bill has to increase by $30/month to match the package I have now.

Ordering from Wirefly.com is a major headache when it comes to issues with the phone itself. First off, the only way to communicate with them is through chat room session. If you need to do an exchange for any reason (manufacture defect), option 1 - you will have to send your phone to them so they can examine your phone and then fix it...then they will send it back to you (meaning you will be phoneless for however long it takes them to figure out what the issue is with the phone). Option 2 - they can send you a replacement phone (which they will charge your credit card $250), once you receive the replacement phone...you must return the defective phone within 30 days so they will then credit you back the $250 to your credit card (I have a headache already just explaining my experience with Wirefly.com). This may sound petty to some people, but I rather go to the Verizon store and have them fix my phone or replace it within 2 hours with no charge because of my 1 year warranty.

Yes, Wirefly.com has good deals on phones...but you will not have the one on one customer service as you would at the Verizon store. I hope this post will help anyone considering Wirefly.com.

i bought the eris from them. wirefly works. i had an issue with it two days after it was delivered and took it to verizon, they replaced it through the insurance/warranty(?). didnt have to give up my damaged phone during the wait either. i did have an issue with being the secondary account on the line. i just changed that status with VZW customer service and all was well.
def. getting my incredible through wirefly the week of may 9th.

Can't believe this hasn't gotten more attention than it has. Wirefly was showing the price for a short period of time, and then it disappeared. I'm guessing that someone from Verizon got on the phone with them and said, "Hey... We're trying to sell this for $199 over here. Don't be advertising the $149 price yet!".

I had been searching at Wirefly for a long time (searching for 'incredible') and would always get the 'Coming Soon' message. Then, the same search revealed the 'Coming Soon' with the price, and a few hours later the same search started redirecting me to the video review that they have on their site, with no mention of the price anywhere.

I've recently discovered that I can bypass the video result by searching for 'htc incredible'. Here's hoping they have the price (and availability) back up soon!

Ordered mine from Wirefly at 9pm PDT (I changed the timezone on my computer to ET heh) but they didn't give me an option to choose a data plan so I hope that doesn't hold up the order. Anyone else order from them and not get that choice?

Total price was $149 shipped to CA, plus I got $50 Bing cashback, making it a $99 phone. Sweet!
