Six months ago the Metro S3 was the latest, greatest and you couldn't count the number of times in a day that there was a new ROM update in a single day. Now this is a ghost town, seems all the devs have moved on to the S4. Is this the end of the CDMA Metro Galaxy S3 and all the awesome Rom's and updates? I hope not because I truly love this phone, yes I can't afford the S4 but even if I could, my S3 performs exactly how I want. I truly hope that someone keeps the faith and keeps us going.

Edit: I just wanted to say that for those of you out that there that have made ours S3's what they are today and those of you that still continue to do the same....THANK YOU!! You are truly appreciated.

i second that motion i'm still till this day miss my htc evo-3d one hell of a phone

i knew with getting rid of the sgs3 metropolis would slow down a bit, in all honesty the next update will prolly be the 4.3 ota in a month or so. thats why i tried to get the hook up on as many aosp roms as possible, if there is one you want or feel as though we are missing let me know and ill give it a whirl of compiling it.

as it stands this is still the most loved device on metropcs, the s4 has more rom options but they are all tmobile roms. they dont have a single metropcs tw rom or even an odin tar to restore back if things go screwy.

I have tried almost all aosp roms on here and really like them all but there is always one issue or another that keeps me from using as a daily driver. The one aosp rom that had no issues (for me atleast) and that I wish was continuing to be updated is XenonHD. Last I heard there wouldn't be anymore updates for it.

LMFAO!! Samsung has been screwing with us about any update for the S3 for months and months. I'm not holding my breath for the 4.3 update, Shabby.

thats fine, it took what 2 months? after sprint got the premium suite update until we got it. maybe it was a bit sooner than that, i dont recall. sprints 4.3 update is in testing already and will soon be rolling out.

sprint is nice enough to have this stuff called rdf's that are put in their systems, sprint samsung users load up the url to match their device and check every few days etc to know about upcoming software versions.

sprint is usually the first with updates, so my guess is the s4 4.3 update is almost ready, with note 2 and sgs3 released within a few weeks of that. of course with sprint they have had an rdf and then leaked firmwares for 3-4 months before official ota's, so it could be december by the time they get it.. but it is indeed coming (even if metro doesnt bring it to this device, i will.)

just how many times do you guys think the wheel can be re-invented? all aosp roms are being build from cyangen mod then within those roms the only difference is themes so while your led to believe one rom has something that the other doesn't im afraid you couldnt further from the truth.... only truly less than a handful of roms devs have gone out the way to bring something new to the table sometimes it isnt worth flashing just for 1 feature that your current rom has. sometimes all that makes it worth it is a whole new kernel compiled from scratch to not only improve battery life but stability and performance. I really advice you guys to take the time to actually check what special features these roms claim to have. many of you guys will notice that 1 rom ya was hyped about is just a themed cyangen rom......
