Ok guys and gals....really need some help here. Been internet searching for a while now and not getting anywhere. So here is the issue I have been having: MANY times when I unlock the phone or even when I am using the phone, the bluetooth screen pops up which shows the devices that I am able to connect to. For instance, I am in my home, and I pick up the phone, flick my finger to unlock it, and there is the bluetooth screen. ALL the time! I have to dismiss that screen to get back home. The other day I was using the phone and on a call, and the bluetooth screen popped up.

What is going on? It wasn't do this before the 4.3 upgrade, and now it happens all the time.

Anyone else having this issue? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

keeping post 4.3 update concerns listed here.

need more info.

are you rooted?

what carrier?

do you have a third party lock screen?

if you disable bluetooth, does this screen pop up still?

is it bluetooth devices or is it bluetooth tethering?

look in your bluetooth tab and what items do you have ticked?

does this happen anywhere or just at your home? or just at your job? or just in the car?

you have of course soft reset,, but did you also hold down the power button until the phone shut off on its own and restarts?

you are having difficulty not finding others on the internet with this issue because its possible its only local to your device...

Devices
regular lock screen
doesn't happen when disabling bluetooth

Reset does nothing

I guess nobody is having this problem.

THank you

Functionality is gone for the op. I've a one max latest update, stock, not rooted and I get the same behavior when using Chrome browser on google images. I too don't have the option to directly share. I do think this behavior has been around before the latest update.

Workaround is to download to gallery and share.

Edit : Firefox for android gives the ability to share directly from the image. Try it out.

That's balls

Why remove something so useful?

I guess I never noticed it. I never use the stock browser, just Dolphin, which still has the share image option. No clue why they wouldn't have that option. You are right. Seems like a pretty poor design decision. Pretty much guarantees people aren't going to use the stock browser. Or at least for a good number of people. I just hope that same decision doesn't trickle down to other places. It just ends up making things way harder for users than it should be. That option is a major benefit. I can't fathom who thought it would be useful to remove it.

I wonder if it had anything to do with the various patent disputes going around. I know we lost some functionality for the handling of default actions because of those disputes with Apple a couple years back.

Hi all, I have often used my phone with tethering to access the internet on my pc. I have always done this without any issues and it connects automatically. I did a system update in the phone the other day and now I can't get the tethering to work. I also have a new notification saying MTP is enabled so wondering if this had something to do with it. ???

Well, I eventually received my update yesterday. Android 4.3. HTC Sense 5.5. Software Version 3.63.61.1.

Things seem okay, except I prefer the earlier version of Blinkfeed, where I could include EVERYTHING that I wanted. Unless there's a setting that I'm missing.......

Then again, I'm a disabled caregiver and, my grandmother, who is 87 and has Alzheimer's Disease, kept me up ALL morning. Therefore, I'm exhausted, snappy, et cetera.

IOW, there used to be an overflow menu (I think that's what it's called) where one could actually tick the content one wanted.

Anyone seen where that is, if it's even there anymore?

NB I do love the default landscape view it has now and the "Read Later" feature

EDIT:

Hey all!

I have no idea how I managed to do the following (not the screenshot) or even what the hell it is. I'm assuming that it's new to 4.3, although I've not read about it, nor even seen a picture of it.

Would some kind soul please tell me what it's called, terminology wise, and how on earth I actually did it: -

Thanks.

MOD NOTE: The screen grab is a car mode. you can just exit out of the app and your phone will return to normal mode.

Hi, My HTC One has just been updated with 4.3 and Sense 5.5. One issue I have come across which concerns me is the ICE (In Case of Emergency) app which I had on my lock screen, which worked perfectly well prior to the update, is still visible on the lock screen page but now when swiped takes you to the Screen Lock security pattern. Not very helpful!
The only app on my lock screen which bypasses the Screen Lock security pattern security page is the camera widget!
Any ideas how to resolve this so the ICE app shows the emergency information without taking you via the Screen Lock security pattern page?
