Games with good graphics?

I've tried researching but I come up short when looking for actual good games with up to date graphics. I found raven sword... The app market place seems like a joke. Just mine craft and angry birds. Where are the up to date games? I wanna push my maxx to the limit.

I've just found Real Racing for free, from EA. If the screenshots on the Play Store are the actual game graphics, then just wow. It rivals the visuals of Forza and Gran Turismo on Xbox 360 & PS3 if it is actual screenshots.

I'm guessing that game is only available on high-end handsets though, so it does depend on what device you're on. I'm using an HTC One.

I'm downloading it now (well, once FIFA 14 has finished downloading anyway).

EDIT: The graphics really are that good. The framerate isn't as smooth as one of the console games, but it still looks amazing.

I have a nexus 10 and it is full of jaggies and low-res textures. Not sure why. Trying the graphics hack turns them up but the game is unplayable. It's not optimized for Android.

The GPU in the Nexus 10 simply isn't up to the job at that resolution, they've optimized it by lowering the settings to maintain a reasonable framerate.

Real Racing is good but the graphics engine is poorly optimized. Asphalt 8 is fantastic. So are the Madfinger titles

I don't agree with that.

Real Racing 3 runs well on every device I tried because the framerate is locked and very stable, it's not a fast paced racing title anyway so it doesn't need a high framerate.

On the other hand Asphalt 8 is the opposite, fast paced yet barely able to average 30fps, framerate hovers wildly between 20-40 fps and the framerate feels very unstable and unoptimized.

I like flight sims with functional virtual cockpits though, and they because I'm spoiled by Flight Simulator X, which only supports Windows. No such comparable title exists on tablets running Android but a few sims on iOS have that feature, such as BlackShark and Apache Sim. Sky Gamblers games have excellent graphics and true looking virtual cockpits, alas, iOS only. Sky gamblers: Storm Raiders is an excellent WWII combat flight sim

I'm interested in seeing the direction Infinite Flight is going though

Until Real Racing 3 can pull off the graphics of the iPad 3 on a Nexus 10 (I'm sorry, but the nexus 10 is miles ahead of the iPad 3 in terms of CPU/GPU) I can't consider the jaggy and low res mess anything remotely 'HD'. The same crappy graphics also happen on the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7

The Nexus 10 is a great device but the screen resolution cripples it when it comes to gaming, it's higher than the iPad 3.

There was an app on the market that let you force the same quality as Apple devices, never worked for me or at least I couldn't tell the difference but you can give it a try.

It's called Real Racing 3 Graphics.

RR3 Graphics works, but the framerate is abysmal.

I don't have any issues with Asphalt 8 having wildly swinging framerates (outside of one or two tracks or when my device is being tempermental), but maybe my device is special, then. RR3 doesn't just run poorly on my Nexus 10- it runs poorly on an Acer a500 and a Lenovo ideaTab (which are, admittedly, dated), an Ouya at 720p or 1080p, my fiance's Transformer TF301, my mom's Nexus 7... It's not just my Nexus 10. All of these devices have to reduce the graphics to low/minimum, and some are not bad devices at all.

Yeah, I know. It doesn't run well on any device I've tested it on.

Run's fine on my Nexus 7 2013, changing the settings with RC3 Graphics makes no difference to performance.

The framerate is basically capped at 30fps, try monitoring with fps meter and you will see the framerate is very stable, there is very little variation.

Also if you do test it, bare in mind fps meter does lower the framerate slightly due to some overhead.

I'm aware. There's a law or rule or something about that. Inability to observe without interference. Forget what rule.

That being said- I understand the purpose of framerate limiters. Maybe I just have all the wrong devices to play it on. GT Racing 2 by Gameloft is utter garbage. Looks just like RR3 on medium/high and has the framerate of a Powerpoint slideshow.
