What's the weirdest (or scariest) dream you have ever had?

I had this one recurring nightmare gor a while. This giant boulder thing would be rolling towards me at a very slow pace. Atsome point i would poke it with some kind of needle and when i id i got this strange feeling that i can only describe as how it feels when you're sick in bed and have a horribly high fever, like when you're just laying there shaking and unable to do anything........ Yeah it was weird ad horrible lol

I have a weird dream once:

A mate and me went in to this house... bit like a ghost house... we were looking at this massive black, almost velvet-like, fish that was actually Bob Marley's head, with massive lips and dreads going back, where the body/tail is. The Bob Marley fish was blowing like rings too

Just after I I saw it blowing the rings, I woke up... weirdest dream I can remember! :)

Those are quite common. I suspect they'll stop soon. Mine stopped after about 25 years!

I had those that you mention, and also ones where I realize it's time to take the final, but I've not gone to class all quarter and don't even know where the class is at! Often for some reason I also don't have any shoes.

Not scary, but just weird.

I'm in a big east coast city, with brick townhouses on each side. Typical movie scene. I'm walking up the steps into the townhouse to have sex with a woman, but I then wake up, rather disappointed that I didn't complete that dream.

When I go back to sleep, the dream starts up again. I'm walking out of the townhouse.

I wake up again remembering both dreams, and damning the dream censors that cut out the good parts!

had a dream that i can at least remember.
my family was taken and all of a sudden i'm confronted by the takers and they are trying to get my kids(even though at this time i didnt have any) and every time i try to hit them it is as if time slows down for me and i never do. Or if i do hit them it is so weak they never feel it.

I always wake up as if i failed.

horrible horrible feeling.

The weirdest dream I ever had was when I dreamed I was a spy, rewiring a fuse box in a mansion, when the fuse box started to blink and beep. I woke up to find that my alarm was the beeping.

I had one similar to that. I was defusing a bomb on a school locker. I clipped the wrong wire and the timer sped up and it started sounding an alarm. I woke up with the alarm going off.

Scariest though was I was in a strange cabin in the woods. These mountain folks attacked us and we were all under a table in the den. The people started shooting us. Very graphic. Saw us getting hit, blood spewing, etc. When they finished everything went black, and cold, and silent. I had woken up and had kicked the covers off. FREAKED ME OUT!

I used to have this reoccurring dream about ghosts. The dream was exactly the same every time. Had it 4 or 5 times when I was younger.

Favorite dream was when I was real young, elementary school age. I'd be in the front yard and I could take a few running leaps then leap into the air and fly around the yard. I still miss those dreams 40 years later.

Anyone else have the "meteor dream"? I have ran a across a couple people who have had the same similar one and often wonder if its widespread or not.

It wa a few years ago, but basically was looking at the sky, then noticed shooting stars, and there became hundreds of them (kinda like braveheart with all the arrows, but meteors). And you can actually feel the heat as they land? theres more to it than that, but thats a rough outline.

No, not that I recall. But I've had tons of recurring dreams about aircraft crashing. It's usually a helicopter, but sometimes a plane, and it's always the same--it's flying low in the sky, then there's an explosion or the engines sputter, and I know it's going to crash, and it usually comes right at me. I can see it getting really big as it approaches. Very scary.

ever been in a nightmare ..
the realize that you are dreaming.. must be a dream..
try to wake up...

but never do!!!! awwwwww :((

Normally, if I'm having a nightmare and realise it, I can wake up.

The weirdest dreams I had were when I realised I was actually dreaming and then I decided to try to do some unusual things. The first time that I was dreaming and realised it, I was in a house on the second floor. I decided to jump out the window. I jumped and just hovered in mid air in the spot where I left my feet. I had no forward momentum to carry me through the window. Then after hovering for a few seconds I landed back on my feet.

It's happened quite a few times. The next time I was dreaming and realised it, I actually managed to fly in my dream. I ended up willing myself to fly like Neo in the Matrix. Sometimes I am able to control what happens. Things I think about happen in the dream.

I find in dreams, things I think about happen. For instance, if I'm having a nightmare and running away from something, I may think that it finds me and it does. Other times when I'm dreaming, I think of positive things and those things happen in my dreams. When I realise that I'm dreaming it's pretty cool to be able to control things. I wonder if this is how the Wachowskis came up with "The Matrix".

when i realize i am dreaming.. that normally wakes me up.
only a few times in my life.. i was able to control the dream... but only for a short time (a few minutes).

there is a thing vietnamese call... translated: "ghosts hold you down"
when you know you are a sleep.. having a nightmare.. want to wake up.
you can hear and maybe see around you. But you can not move any muscles.

this happens to me a few times...
and for me to get out of it.. i have to relax..
and concentrate to move 1 finger! then i can wake up.

That's sleep paralysis. It's a normal part of REM sleep, but can continue after you wake up--and it's scary.

Such experiences are caused by what's known as sleep paralysis (or SP), a phenomenon that occurs every night in the typical sleeper to prevent him or her from acting out dreams during REM sleep (more on this below). When this paralysis outlasts sleep, as it sometimes can, you get instances like those described above. Waking up to SP can be an extraordinarily frightening situation, as you might know from personal experience or can tell from the personal stories on this page, but rest assured that it is not uncommon and typically not a cause for too much concern.

One of the worst nightmares I've ever had was when I was around 12. I woke up to find freshly severed dog heads mounted to all the walls in my house and was freaking out and I realized it was a dream and kept trying to wake myself up. Eventually I did thrash around enough to wake myself! Another one was a goat with blood coming from his mouth standing on my chest while I was in bed.

I blame my sister for making me watch horror movies when I was only 8 lol.
