how to update google play ??

Hi, i had to uninstall updates of Google Play Store because it suddenly stopped working on my galaxy S2 ,now its working but its back to market how do i update it,please guide with an easy way ?? i can't find any option in my phone

The first thing I would do is clear cache & data via settings>applications. The market app should update itself to the latest Play store next time you open it.

Otherwise you can side load an APK that relates to the latest version of android that your device has.

Would you mind telling us what version it is then maybe we can get a proper link for you.

I did clear cache and everything ,nothing seems to be working,there is a red mark on "sync people details" in accounts and sync and it says sync is currently experiencing problems and will be back shortly ,i am still running gingerbread android version 2.3.6,plz help its not updating itself to google play and neither is letting me update any other apps.
