Root Kit kat for elite ?

Any chance of someone working on a kit kat ROM. I hear it requires less resources to run than jb there is even a ROM for optimus v which has less space and memory than the elite. Just wondering.

I am going for kitkat soon. Just need to fix some things in jb.

I was able to get kitkat to compile successfully but I think two things may be in our way.

1. We need a new recovery to flash kitkat. I didn't make one yet so I don't know if kitkat will even boot.

2. Kitkat may be too huge to fit in our system partition so we have to somehow repartition or I'll have to trim somethings out.

I know I seen a post on AC that there is a working but not fully functional ROM for the optimism v . not sure what they had to do to flash there's . It may also be on this forum but haven't looked.

Made the recovery needed to flash the rom but it doesn't boot and is stuck at LG logo and unable to get a logcat. Measured the space left we would have after flashing in /system which is 75.3MB.

Is there advantages with kitkat over jb my interest in it was the impression it required less resources sounds as if I may have been wrong

Its larger in size but has less of a memory footprint. There's 2 framework and systemui folders....it actually runs better for me on my nexus than 4.3 did.

love the AOKP, juts somehow lost root, but everything else works great.

Reluctant to start over because I have zero issues other than no root.

The way I see it, if the phone bricks on its own, i can just do the unbrick method, which I would do right now and start over to regain root, and only need root for backups, so currently I am good.

But, I so wanna start over with the COM10, but AOKP is working great, no root :(

Oh yah, I am using the cell for wifi only, it appears the wifi shuts down some time after the cell is left inactive, but its not as if ppl call me anyway, I just unclick the wifi blue on thing in the notifications bar and reclick and it reconnects.
