I know there have been problems with cancelling pre-orders but I wonder if you could get it cancelled now since the csr's should be able to see the orders since the phone is released? I would check to see if you can get one at a store and see if they can help you. It seems kinda crazy that they are having so many problems. Sorry that you have to wait. I was feeling tortured because I couldn't get mine till this morning.
As quirky as Verizon is, I don't want to cancel and try again.
I ordered the phone on an account that my girlfriend and I share. She is a Verizon employee, which generally means that they assume we are crap. I've never felt so disrespected when I had an issue. EPP (the people who handle Verizon employee issues) are the biggest group of douchebags... EVER. I had numerous issues with my Voyager and most of them went unresolved, because dealing with them was such a hassle.
I've got my order confirmation number and have the shipping notification, when I check it, but no phone. I called today, just before I posted, and asked about the order. While the order is processed and ready to go, it hasn't shipped or made any movement. I was told that I "probably" wouldn't get it tomorrow either. They "expected" that it would be shipped to the call center (where my girlfriend works) by Monday.
Even though I am on a share plan with an employee account I still have to pay money. My monthly bill is half off and we get a weak discount on accessories, I had to fork over 200 bucks for the phone (we don't get NE2 discount, but we get new phones every 10 month for the 2 year contract price), I'd just like some actual customer support.
I promise I'm not terribly upset or bitter, but I know how much they make in the call centers and it's more than enough to be at least marginally respectful to me when I have an issue. *sigh*
