It depends on how you bought it. If you bought it under contract (1 year or 2 year) you will still be responsible for the contract. So unless you have another Verizon (CDMA) phone to switch to them you can sell the phone. But if you bought it without a contract then it's yours to sell. I assume you bought it under contract.

Just take it back, you're within your 30 days.
