Root [Virgin Mobile] [ROM][MK5][STOCK][ODEXED/DEODEXED]- Virgin Mobile/Boost Mobile

Also, I fully expect an update to Android 4.4
Maybe JD will be kind enough to provide us with another Knox free ROM when the time comes ;)

You can definitely flash Philz with CWM.

The newest version of SuperSU is definitely recommended.

I don't believe the ROM comes with superuser but it has been a while since I've flashed it. What is the current status of your progress now?

I had to incrementally flash my way up to the current version of Philz. I was able to flash 6.0, but nothing higher. Then Moped gave me 6.15 and it worked. From 6.15 I was able to get on 6.25. Seems odd to me. Perhaps my 6.25 zip file was corrupted during download...I did end up downloading it a few times.

I am running MOAR 9.X right now, and I like it so far.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as I can get a good update.zip from someone, or even better, the OTA tar. Britton, since you're Knox'd up anyway, it won't hurt you to take the update if it comes so I'll leave that part to you! Hope all's well
 
Well I don't know if I should hold my breath and revert to stock Rom, with stock recovery when and if virgin mobile rolls out the update or I should hold my breath and modify the asserts on the sprint one to flash
 
Wait, now I'm confused, does the Sprint two 4.4 update bring on a new boot loader?, people have been asking on a tutorial on how to upgrade, I need to read up more on this

There's no need to change assert files or change anything if your want to flash the Sprint stock tar. It's ready to go out of the gate. Just follow OP and you're golden. And yes, the new Sprint OTA does have the new boot loader. There's no way around it anymore.

yeah your right, I don't care because I already have knox, im on it right now, like im a sprint customer, I don't like the clonky touch recognition, the ART runtime option to switch isn't in dev options, and rr3 graphics don't work, so that sucks, oh and don't forget that the overall swipe and finger modifeyers are all changes from mk5 4.3, they tried to make it feel more snappy, but it feels, like the screen is stuck to your fingers compared to the butteryness of 4.3 mk5, app compatibility seems diminished as well
 
lol it feels like one of those flappy bird clones that tries to be as close to the original, but using another game engine, that's exactly what it feels like, they tried to make it exactlt the same, but have 4.4, that's all, no noticeable big changes, but the ones above^
 
Is there a way to get completely stock? I'm going to get a new phone on a different carrier but I want to go back to full stock in order to sell it. If flash this will the custom recovery go away? Or how would I go back to stock recovery? Sorry for all the questions, as of right now I'm going to flash the stock ROM so I can show it to the guy I'm selling it to. I'm selling it after my month ends so I have a few weeks, thanks.

It will not erase custom recovery because this is a zip. This is stock, yes, and if you clear data it will be "stock" but without Knox. To go 100% stock as if you updated from the OTA, you have to flash the tar(see link). But it will put Knox on your phone.

Thank you! I'll have to flash the tar some other time right now I'm just flashing this. Putting Knox on it wouldn't affect it right? Since I'm not going to have this phone anymore.

Nope, just adds the Knox boot loader, which if your buyer flashes cwm or root through Odin it voids the warranty, if there is one, which I don't think is a concern since I don't think warranties are transferable. Enjoy!

i keep getting an error flashing this it says format expects 5 args got 4 then error in storage/sdcard1/then the rom name and status 7 what do i do?

First, check the md5, make sure it's a good download. Second, Odin is very picky. Try different usb ports, cables, until it takes. That should do it.
 
Hey guys I have this issue where I'm not able to save or delete anything off of my internal sd or system. It always fails. No matter what app I use and I'm low on space although I have 600mb left on my internal. Can anyone help?

Thanks a bunch for all your work. I have sprint s4 I am preparing for virgin mobile sim in which VM has granted me domestic Sim Unlock... My s4 (sph-l720) is rooted with OctOs ROM ... I'm looking for help getting the rest of the phone setup.. I have no APN settings no Virgin Mobile apps ??? What's my next step??
