when installing kumakan rom do i have to wipe dalvik cache or wipe cache?
im not sure what are the steps to install it.phone rooted busybox installed
recovery also installed.thanks in advance for your help
To install the Kumakan ROM it's pretty easy... It looks like you have these bases covered so far but to recap
You will need root, install busybox (by Stericson ) and then artas182x locked bootloader/CWM L9 recovery installer (2nd init recovery).
I recommend rooting with Cydia Impactor, as this is one of the easiest methods.
Second, install busybox 1.21.0 ( BusyBox can be updated after you have everything setup and once device is booting the ROM)
Last, install the L9 Recovery Installer.
Once you've installed the correct version of busybox 1.21.0 and the L9 installer apk open the L9 recovery app. Select to install recovery then choose "jb/ics stable version", grant it root rights. Once it says installed power down the device. After you boot up you'll see your front keys blinking rapidly... this means you have recovery access. To enter recovery immediately press and hold the volume down (-) button while lights are blinking.. You are now in recovery! The first thing that you need to do when you first boot into recovery is to immediately make a full stock nandroid backup of your system to the External Sdcard. This is a precaution in case you receive the "Encrypting Phone" error after booting back into android OS.
Download and have the Kumakan ROM already saved to your SD card , after performing your nandroid backup, arrow back to the recovery home screen and select "Wipe" and wipe Dalvik cache and cache (do not wipe internal or external sd card) Once rhats done Then arrow back to the recovery home screen and select "Install" then navigate to and locate the Kumakan ROM (should be in "/SD card/download/" folder, select the ROM and install like any other flash-able zip, it's in an Aroma installer.
Note: MEGA is the site host for the ROM, so once you open the mega site, click on the devices menu button and select "Request desktop site" and the download link will appear and then select download.
The most important thing to remember is don't select reboot recovery (in advance options). Your phone will (may) perform a factory reset and wipe your Internal Sd & data partition!!! You have been Warned!!!
