Been around these boards for a while and after much research, finally bought my first Android device. Copped the Acer Liquid A1 (I was going to buy the N1, but decided to save $200, this phone works on one of the AT&T 3G bands, the stronger 1900MHz one, and the feature set is amazing for the price). Coming from Windows Mobile (which was pretty good), Android is amazing. I rooted and installed the Liquid Community Rom which brings 2.1 to my phone, loving live wallpapers/multitouch/helixlauncher/7 homescreens, and while it does not have as many apps as the iPhone, it has all the apps I need (and more).
Will be continuing to post on these forums regularly for any help I need.
BTW which apps do you guys recommend? So far, I got Shazaam, AIM, Facebook, Goggles, Places Dir, Layars. As well as Barcode Scanner and Tetherbot (both included in the LCR). And patiently waiting for Swype to release. Got the Opera 5 browser but lack of multitouch has me leaving unimpressed, the default browser is very good. Any other great browsers out there? Tho the default is quite nice.
