Hello, I own the Galaxy Spica and am wondering if there is a way to access my SIM card memory through the phone...

I keep getting a msg that says i need to delete some messages on my sim card. Its becomming a big problem because i cannot recieve any txt msg's at all now...even when i clear all my threads on my phone.

Whats going on here? Why is it saving msgs to my SIM card? Is there a way to change this? Or a way i can access my SIM card...my SIM card is about 2 years old and has been used in 2 other phones.

Yeah when i go there it says i have none. I ended up charging my old phone and putting my sim card in there and deleting everything off it.

Now how do i restore my contacts from my phone to my SIM? Its like this phone wasnt even made to have a SIM card on it, it has no functions for the SIM card besides deleting messages....

Yeah it seems that way but i cleared everything off my old phone. My contacts are saved on my new phone but it wont let me put them onto my SIM card through it.

And i keep getting that same msg saying my SIM card is full and to delete old messages...and when i go click on the notification to delete them, it says there are no messages.

I'm wondering if i should just take this phone back tho, i like it but im also having issues with the sound aswell. With or without headphones its like the audio makes "cracking" sounds similar to a record player. I just got this phone about 3 weeks ago and its already passed its "used" phase but im wondering if i have enough reason to trade it in as faulty because these issues are making my phone less and less usefull to me.

I had the same issue with mine, once I had txfered all my contacts from sim to handset I had to go to my gmail account and change all of my contacts type from 'Other' to 'Mobile'.

Once I had done this, I could send sms direct from messaging as the although I have noticed that the contacts I have set to 'Home' (landlines) do not appear within messaging.

In order to send messages to these numbers I need to go direct to contacts and select the number :(

I think you by default you would have saved settings that it would save in the sim but when the sim memory is full it directly get saved into phone, i think it would be the phone issue.

previously the messages were saved directly to phone internal memory but now i dont known why the messages are saved to SIM card instead of phone memory.
but when sim memory gets full i cant even send or retrive any messages......:eek:

is there any way to set the messeags memory to phone memory instaed of SIM card???

i known there is no way to save the message directly to SD card but i there is a way to save it to Phone memory atleast.....

i dont to backup sms and restore ...i want the phone to directly save it to phone memory as it was doing before......
