CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

My phone bricked or it boot up to a half screen and I don't know to enter recovery to flash rom how enter recovery cm12 not working

Turn the device off

Then hold the Power Button and Down Button

When the LG Logo pops up, immediately let go of the Power Button and Down Button and quickly press them again.

If you are met with a white screen asking you if you would want to hard reset the device then you have done this correctly.

Hit the down Button to select yes and hit the Power Button, then it do the same thing again as it will ask you a second time.

Now your device will reboot into TWRP.

If you're still having problems with this UO CM build, DL either the stock rom (HS631/MS631) or The Game Theory's Katana rom onto a flash drive or computer. After that, boot into recovery, plug your phone into your PC, move the file into either your internal or external storage, and then flash it.

But are you also having issues changing CPU frequencies? I was on the same build a while back, then reverted to Katana.
 
What's the status on this?
I'm guessing GPS still isn't functional?
Id ask about NFC but im sure AndroidPay isn't gonna work with it anyways.

Isn't AZVideoRecorder or something used for video recording tho? (least that's what i use on my phone)
And i'm guessing the download links on the front page are the official (i.e. completely working) version of CM?
 
Read back a couple of posts, you need a couple more zips to fix still photos and GPS and turn off the led. As for video recording people are reporting they have a somewhat fix, I'm on Katana rom atm though

What's the difference between the two?
Honestly just need a rom without the bloatware.
 
One fixes still photos GPS and led the other fixes video recording, there's no bloat whatsoever

Well... Which would you recommend?
My daily use is this: Google voice, reddit, photos, gps (i.e. google maps), android wear, cortana, some note taking and that's pretty much it. just simple stuff, i can do without video recording.
 
CM is still a bit "unstable", in my opinion. One build even has issues with waking the device up after locking it.

I guess, you could try using TGT's Katana Rom with FOMA.

If you installed the fly mod app on cm and its giving you issues just reflash the cm through twrp and wipe dalvic /cache n reboot. I had issues with it earlier .
