Help Hudl 2 keyboard will not appear

Have recently had my Hudl returned from Tesco after it froze and they sorted out the problem.
Last night after deleting some apps my keyboard refuses to appear when it should.
Any ideas anyone.

Is your Hudl rooted? When you were deleting apps, did you inadvertently delete the keyboard app by mistake? There's plenty of keyboards available on Google Play, my favourite is Swiftkey.

Thanks for reply.
Checked settings and all input area was empty and could not get it to open.
Did a factory reset and all OK now thank you.
Do not understand term rooted,w here is best to check it out,Gogle?.

If you don't know what root is, probably best to leave well alone. Root is basically having low-level system access in the device. And if not careful or don't know what you're doing, can seriously mess the device up, or even kill(brick) it completely. It's rather like software equivalent of "No user serviceable parts inside. Keep out!".

I think we've had a few posts from people with broken, dead or malfunctioning Hudls from when they've rooted, and deleted, damaged or corrupted something essential. Maybe because they tried something they read on some blog somewhere, without understanding if it was going to work, was accurate information, etc.
